I purchased a sofa and $50 worth of dishes from big lots in lewisville and they gave me there delivery service but when the delivery service arrived the came with 2 people who couldn’t get the sofa up the stair or didn’t have the equipment to pull in over so i had to return the the sofa the delivery guy told me he would not take my couch back to the store unless i paid him $200 .. he was so rude .. when my couch arrived back to the store i was not given a full refund for the dishes and sofa that i returned and no longer have in my possession and the lady was so rude … complaining and everything then complaining no help at all !!!! then the excuse for paying the delivery was thats a ****** he gas been with us for years …. so he wasn’t even with big lots they had a random guy off the streets delivering my furniture and i had to pay for something i didn’t receiveBig Lots Response

Yes, I went to the Palatka big lots store this morning to purchase some outdoor furniture. They had the chairs but no table so the lady in the store checked the next door which is 53 miles away showed three of them told me to go online and place my order at the store And they have it ready so I can drive up there to go get it so I placed the order online $1700 worth of furniture. Got an email back saying processing order in stock at the store. The lady went online showed 3+ chairs drove all the way up there There they released the chairs to the order but not the table by the time I got there they said they couldn’t find the tables even though it shows three on hand so they process the order for the chairs. **** got the chairs and I don’t wanna drive all the way up here to the Jacksonville store to the Jacksonville store they only had the table not the chairs so I drove over 120 miles today wasted two hours of my time and fuel my truck and all big lots wanted to do was give me 30% off my purchase and then drive to Gainesville to go get the furniture which would’ve been another 2 Hour Dr. I’m very upset and not pleased with Big the way they treat customers they don’t want to do anything to help you out. Didn’t offer to drop shift to my house or nothing.Big Lots Response

I made a payment plan with them and they automatically deduct $40 a month out of my checking account this has been going on for a while All this time they have been charging me interest which is $40 a month and a past due of $40 as well so now my balance is higher and they're saying my past due balance is over $265 and that is due to the late charges which I made a payment plan so now they're saying that I have to pay the late charges and they're going to continue to charge me late charges which I made a payment plan with them and they're saying no which is ridiculous because we set up a payment plan of $40 a month and this is very unfair so my balance is so much higher than what it's way over my credit limit and this is very unjust this is crazy please help please helpBig Lots Response

Big Lots advertised a sale on products from a specific department. This ad did not include a list in the “ small print details “ about any specific items from the advertised sale department as being excluded . I selected several products from the department that the sale ad was advertised for . These products were both labeled for & only displayed in this department that was included in the sale ad . When I went to make my purchase at the checkout . The discount listed in the advertised sale was declined. They stated the items were not included even though the products were clearly labeled & only available in the department advertised in the sale ad & there were no exclusions from this department documented in the said ad . I called the Customer Service Support Department . The Customer Service Agents were extremely rude & unprofessional. Their service was Horrendous. They declined any assistance to resolve this matter with a reasonable resolution. This was a classic case of False / misleading advertising & absolute horrendous customer service.Big Lots Response

I placed an order and never got an update on my order, the money was deducted so very quickly and I never got a confirmation or anything, luckily I took a screenshot of the confirmation page when I made the payment but I tried calling and someone told me that it's not their official site and I did it on a different site and lost my money.*Big Lots Response

We purchased two sofas back in July July 2, 2021 and we are having issues with our furniture now. We also paid $120 for three year coverage plan and we’re trying to use it now but it looks like the receipt that they provided me with after I made the entire payment was a price hold payment and not a complete receipt payment so now I’m not able to use the warranty and I’ve contacted big lots and I’ve contacted the warranty department Name ** ********** **** *** and they said there’s nothing that they can do to help me with my warranty unless big lots gives me a complete receipt . this seems like a scam for people to purchase the warranty and give them a price whole payment receipt which prevents them from actually using the warranty that they purchased. The store that I’m speaking of is 843 W. Bloomingdale Ave., Brandon, FL 33511.Big Lots Response

Closed my account over fraudulent charges, paid what the online representative said I owed. Still getting charges for interest and late fees on a closed account for over 5 weeks. It’s a scam. How can this be allowed to happen. Just got off the phone with them and paid another $21 dollars. I repeatedly ask the representative if this was all I owed. The answer was yes. This is all you owe. So I’ll see what happens in a month. No one to assist me in this anywhere. There must be laws against this somewhere.Big Lots Response

Big Lots listed an Ashley sofa on their website and I was reassured for almost for 5 weeks after the expected date which I would receive a call to schedule the local delivery that I would be receiving the sofa. The order was eventually cancelled. So, I made the mistake of trusting them to fix the issue. They offered discounts and free shipping on the love seat which seemed like a nice offer; however, that order was cancelled two days later. However, the product remains on the website available to order. We purchased the ottoman elsewhere since they didn't have it. I should have avoided big lots in beginning. Now I am paying a premium for less product on Amazon and I had to wait 2 months later. Their customer service reps were generally nice. Some basically said too bad it is in the language of our site you can't count on us and we dont know what our inventory is. Even though i was reassured that I would receive both items at some point view email by a person, not automation. I will not be ordering from big lots again, will not recommend, and share this cautionary tale with any who mentions purchasing a couch from Big lots.Big Lots Response

They scammed me out of my delivery fee of $149 just because the company they used to deliver my furniture took pictures inside my building with measuring tape but would not move the furniture into the building to even attempt to try to bring it up. I have been calling and emailing for days and all I’m being told is to wait for a specialist to contact me … but still nothing .. I don’t even feel they deserve the one star required to post this.Big Lots Response
