They haven’t picked up my recycling cart for 3 of the last 4 weeks. I’ve been calling them every day and they claim someone will be out to pick it up, but it doesn’t happen. I live 3/4 mile from the road and am a senior citizen. I have to go up and down the road every day to see if they’ve done the services I’m paying for. They aren’t.Review from James H

Poor business practice. The workers who pick up the trash are super. However they picked up my can and it fell into the truck. It was explained to me that they are not permitted to get them out should they fall in. I was told there is no way to retrieve the can. First they said nothing they can do. I left a message for a supervisor and they agreed to replace the can. Complimentary. All is well until I sell the home. They now claim the can belongs to them. I need to return it or pay for it. How can they take my can that I own, replace it and then say they own it? When I called the customer service representative talked over me wouldn't let me make any points of what happened and simply said it I'd our policy. I asked for a supervisor, I got heated and she hung up on me. I called back foe a supervisor and even though it was not quite 4pm they were no longer taking calles.Review from Anna T

My mother use to own my home and was forced to use local waste per contract signed by our county. At the time the cost was roughly $40 per quarter and service was not so bad. Now 10 years later and a loyal customer who is suffering in this economy on a fixed income myself (bill in spouses name and suffered a horrible accident last year) the bill is nearly $90 per quarter along with all other bill increases. I am often late on trash bill as my water is due the same month as trash. I pay for service and 1 trash can. After plenty of problems I have had to deal with while being a customer today was my final straw. It has always been that if I was late they would just refuse to pick up our trash (cool, completely understand that) but during saturdays pickup (due to holiday) they took my trash can. I called today and was told they sent me to collections and took my trash can. I dont see where taking the trash can is standard procedure. I had planned to pay my bill on friday which would have been 2 no pickups, not trash can removal, still need somewhere to put my trash until I am able to pay my bill. So I told the lady to just cancel my acct and I will find another service. 1. I dont feel like fighting to get my trash can back even once I pay my bill. I was having to constantly buy trash cans previously because they constantly tore my trash cans up right after I would buy them. I caught an employee smashing my trash can with his foot after throwing it in the air. There has just bern too many issues over the year. When I told the lady to completely cancel my acct she got cocky and said we are the only service provider in your area, in a hateful tone. I believe this is their way of dictating their customer base. In my area there is 1 other provider and I have the option of taking my trash to the dump. The worse is that people believe there are no other options, I truly feel sorry for any elderly customers who have issues and are treated this way. Im going w/***** waste.Review from Trequan C

Very unprofessional, reached out to LWS about my waste not being picked up 11/24/2023 - to this day 12/8/2023 waste still hasn’t been picked up, no response from the company and I have spoiled waste at the curbside. Very unhappy customer and if could change services, I WOULD.Review from Jeff H

I had a bigger than normal haul today and the driver made sure he grabbed every bit of it, leaving the space perfectly clean. He picked up a couple items that fell when dumping it in with the arm, and also had to manually throw some items in. To be clear this isn’t the first time I’ve been taken care of in this manner, I have had an overall great experience since the new Reynoldsburg contract began. Bottom line is he did a great job and I hope people realize how hard these folks work!Review from Delta Y

I am extremely disappointed with the services provided by this business. I strongly advise commercial customers to steer clear and explore better alternatives available in the market. Based on my experience with their services over the years, I have encountered several concerning issues: Firstly, their prices are more than 50% higher compared to a nationwide operator, which is somehow understandable but not acceptable. Secondly, they impose a 3-year contract on business customers, while most competitors offer a more reasonable one-year contract. Additionally, their contract renews automatically if without your written notification, and they even charge an additional six-month fee for early termination. Thirdly, their reliability when it comes to accommodating additional pickup requests is extremely poor. It's like playing a hit-and-miss game with them. Lastly, if you ever need to relocate, good luck. They lack online services, and their phone support is unhelpful. Their agents tend to ignore your requests and insist on signing a new 3-year contract to facilitate the move. The only option they offer is to sign the contract and left the hope to you that the container will be delivered to your new address in a timely manner. Should you attempt to voice your concerns, they will blame all the problems and difficulties on you, failing to acknowledge their own systemic pitfalls that complicate service requests and introduce unnecessary bureaucracy. Fortunately, I have switched to a national provider and my experience has significantly improved. Additional pickups, relocations, and other tasks can now be easily managed online. This afternoon, I noticed that most of our neighbors are using the green dumpsters from this nation wide company, while only one of us is stuck with the red bin from Local Waste Services. Although I generally prefer to support local businesses, in this case, I can only wish my neighbor good luck with their choice.Review from Krnneth A

Just want to give a hardy thank you to the worker who picks up trash early Wednesday mornings on at **** ****** Rd. In Grove City. He drives one of those trucks with a bin on the front, and he works alone. I set out a toilet I had taken out, disassembled into 3 pieces, two of which were heavy to me. He got it all! He always arrives on Wednesday about the same time. If you will, check your records to see who it is, and be sure he gets extra credit. I have also seen him clean up when a bag breaks open. I say he is a rare asset to the company. Maybe his compensation can be increased? Excellent service, and employees.Local Waste Services, LTD Response

Repeatedly causing damage to my property as well as city property (roadway). One police report filed so far (October 2022) and assurance from *** that they would take care of the damage. What they did was sprinkle straw over the area to make it look as though something had been done. Despite telling me that LWS was going to discontinue service to the apartments that require entering the alleyway where the dumpster is located, the damage has continued. Last night I discovered a couple of large limbs from the tree they have all but destroyed on the ground having been torn off by force and landing in the roadway where someone had moved them out of the way onto my property (in a previous incident of breaking off a large limb someone dragged it into my neighbor's yard). *** admitted via text that they did not discontinue service to the apartments mentioned but that they obtain access from the road (they would have to be using a large crane extended over several apartment buildings to achieve such a feat). Nevertheless, the red paint left by their red trucks is plainly visible on the upper portion of the tree that has been scraped so many times.Review from Joan W

I own a home in Mt Air that I've currently been renovating for new tenants. They moved in this past weekend and I was very worried that we put out too much trash for pick up this morning. LWS has been absolutely amazing. They took everything and have always been courteous and efficient. I've owned the home for 8 years now and LWS has been the best waste pickup service I have ever had.Review from Chris W
