      Description: Hired to clean windows inside and out, clean baseboards and crown mouldings, clean all lighting fixtures and wood blinds. ******* from Cleaning Fairies- which I got off ***** ****- came and gave me a verbal quote of $560.00 that would include all I was asking for and general house cleaning such as bathes and dusting. Said should take around 8 hours for 2 cleaning ladies to complete. She charges per hour and does not give anything in writing that you just have to trust her. She sent 3 girls for 6 hours and then she came and said they were done. When I said the windows nor floors were done yet, she said the windows were never included and they were already over by 2 hours of what she verbally quoted me for. She told the girls to finish the first room they started to mop and then I told them to not mop the rest of the house because ******* said she was already going to have to pay the cleaning girls out of her own pocket. She took my check and never said thank you or goodbye or if I was satisified. Very unprofessional. I feel it is a scam because she will not put anything in writing. She had the girls do general cleaning and then goes over time and not completing tasks that originally were hired for hoping to have customer pay more to keep the cleaning ladies there. I basically paid $560.00 to get my baseboards, blinds and lights cleaned. Still no windows nor flooring done. Will never hire anyone agian with written contract/quote

      Before ******** agreed to service, I told her I did not provide contracts because I am a small business and majority of my clients have been with me for over 6+ years. That my work is to be trusted and I take pride in my services.

      Due to the style and condition of the window each window is charged individually.  As I made that very clear to the customer before we continued assessing the home. We clean all tracks, screens, and windows inside and out. Which are typically project based separate. Once I left the job site ******** took it upon her self to add on additional work that was not included in her quote. Honestly, my opinion, I feel she took advantage of my workers knowing there wasn't a contract in writing. As I walk in she says " I had the girls stop what they were doing because they forgot to do the windows." As I look around she has all the windows up and ever track cleaned. I turn around look at her and said " I told you I change windows separately and I never got a window count." She then says, " See this is why I do contracts, the last lady did this to me" I told ******** that the girls have went over an hour because the windows weren't included in her quote. she started fussing at me saying "SO HOW MUCH DO I OWE YOU NOW!!!" I said "for the misunderstanding I will leave pricing the same." now she is questioning labor hours. She takes her phone out to do calculations and find herself once again wrong. Just to be clear:  I charged her $560=18hrs  $35/ hr.  per house keeper. So with 3 fairies it should take them 5 hours and 20 minutes total. Once I walked into the room to tell the girls to stop cleaning the windows and to continue with the designated areas quoted. She walk in and tells us to just stop what we are doing, she can do the rest. So that is exactly what we did. Its one thing to be rude but its another to be ungrateful. 

      Over the past 6 years in business I've mainly focused on the physical aspect.(quality service, clientele) Now that my business is expanding with a full team on the field I have more time to focus on my visual presentation. As a small entrepreneur this is a learning curve for me and i will continue to grow and learn from my mistakes. With that being said, I now provide written estimates to all potential clients upon 1st visit. That way each party is clear on what is to be expected.

      I do not agree with the whole statement the business made.  ******* was well aware when I asked for a quote that windows were expected to be cleaned.  She was the one who said in addition to my cleaning request, she added on cabinets and bathrooms as well as the floors.  She even had me get my floor cleaner out that I preferred to use.  We can argue all day about who is right or wrong in this disappointing business agreement, but at least you are going to start giving future clients a written quote!
