I signed up for a course, under the pretense that I was going to be in town for the course. I took a position for a company out of town and will not be able to attend the course. I notified the company within plenty of time to receive a refund on the course and was told there is a ‘no refund’ policy! It will be impossible for me to attend the footer and the way my request was handled I have absolutely no desire to proceed with a company that states website policy! Looking back the representative that discussed the course with me did not mention a ‘no refund’ policy. All I want is my deposit put back on my credit card.Business response

We are sorry for this unfortunate turn of events and that your experience was reported to the BBB given what transpired. You enrolled in the Ignite program on Feb 24, 2023, at which time you paid a deposit of $495. Subsequently you booked a seasonal gig out of state after you committed to this workshop. You reached out requesting a refund and our policy was shared with you including the option to attend a workshop when you returned, at which time you threatened to file this complaint. Despite our policy and despite your threat of a complaint here, we did go ahead and process you a refund on 4/7/23.
The Tuition policy is that refunds are not offered, similar to most every other workshop, training, conference, event etc. In the event a student has something come up and can't attend, which is what occurred in this situation, tuition is honored for one year for a future workshop, which was communicated to you. In the process of registering the tuition policy is shared in the registration form, which is acknowledged prior to paying for the workshop. The tuition policy is also in the student checklist, on our website, and reiterated on calls to prepare a student for the workshop.Customer response
