We bought our 2016 **** truck in March of 2024, it was said to be in good working order bought the extended warrenty to go with it. Drove it home and the 1st month the water pump went out and engine light came on. The water pump costed 350 to fix which I fought the dealership to pay for that because they kept telling me the warrenty dont start till 30 days after I have the truck. But the engine light never went off. Drive it another month it got summer the air conditioner don't work. Take it to get it fixed 220 dollars todo that and they also told me reason engine light is on is because there is a hose dangling that is not attached to anything and sending an emissions code and I am loosing gas millage because of it which should have been seen and fixed by the dealership. Drove it another month the antifreeze box went out leaking antifreeze and over heated my truck leaving me stranded on side of road, cost with tow 450 dollars to fix that. Drove it 2 weeks over heats again leaving us on side of road it's still leaking antifreeze took it to a dealership they said I need a new turbo and lines 3000 to fix it it's still in the shop Because of it then they call me and said I also need the ehaust manifold fixed another 2000 dollars. And the warrenty I bought won't cover it because the dealership says it's rust and corrosion that causes it well the trucks not super old but i was also never told it had any rust or anything wrong with it. So I know I bought a used car but to pay ***** dollars for a truck that I had only 6 months and 3 of those months it had been in the shop and have almost costed me 6000 something is wrong here. I tryed to talk to dealership they said there is nothing they can do other then have me trade it in and if I get the stuff fixed on the truck they would give me ***** for it so your telling me in 6 months it went down ***** in value. So they overpriced the truck and sold me junk.

I responded to an ad on the dealership website for a car at an advertised price. This particular car is eligible for the Federal $4,000 tax credit on electified used vehicles--a tax credit that is not available to all buyers. I spoke with a sales agent from the dealership, and he explained that the advertised price already accounts for the tax credit, a qualification that is not stated anywhere on the ad page nor on a link to that listing on Carfax.com. This is deceptive advertising. I am rejecting this response because: i am under zero obligation for any debt per usc 18 subsection 8 you have also violated the truth in lending act by requiring cash or other fund from the consumer, because under the ******* :The term creditor refers only to a person who both (1) regularly extends,

They refused to show me anything but one car, the sale guy refused to show me anymore. Before purchasing the car I asked if there was any prior issues and was told no. I then find a crack on the inside of the windshield the day after I bought, the A/C went out by Monday . Tuesday my car was running high rpm’s but not picking up speed, the dealership failed to disclose the fact my car is under a recall, they put it in the paper work of course but when asked they lied to me about it . It is a 2018 clarity hybrid and the first question asked was if it needed plugged in . I was advised this could run on gas only to turn around and find out it does need to be charged . I didn’t want a car that needed to be charged in not equipped with a charging station. I asked them to look over the fuel pump only to be told no that if the car wouldn’t start there it would be a problem . MY VIN NUMBER IS LINKED DIRECTLY TO THE RECALL AND THEY ARE REFUSING TO CHECK IT . I would have not gotten the car with the recall and if it also needed charged . Shady business with shady employees.

12 months ago I’ve taken my vehicle to Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet on Broad St here in Columbus,OH and found out that my Cadillac converter, fan, and Schroeder needed to be replaced. My warranty covered the Cadillac converter however I had to come out the pocket for the other 2 things.Fast forward 12 months later I’m dealing with the same issues concerning my vehicle and now they’re saying that the fan and Schroeder is covered however I’m gonna have to pay $2200 for the Cadillac converter because it’s not covered.I took my vehicle to the service department in hopes that my vehicle is in good hands and now the same thing has happened to my vehicle that they supposed to fix and they said that they can’t cover everything because my Cadillac converter was under warranty and now they have my vehicle and I was forced to rent a vehicle because they didn’t offer me a loaner vehicle.

      Hello,

a lot of what the customer is saying is true. His vehicle is in good hands, it's just an unfortunate parts failure that no one has control over. The same failure of the catalytic converter did occur in March of 2023 at 77,024 miles causing damage to the fan shroud and fan making it necessary to replace all three components. The first time this happened we were able to get the catalytic converter covered under the emissions warranty of the vehicle, but the fan and shroud were not covered so the customer had to pay out of pocket for that portion of the repair. Fast forward 13 months and 25,000 miles later the same failure has occurred. When the catalytic converter was replaced in 2023 under GM emission's warranty it only has the remainder of that emissions warranty or 1 year 12,000-mile parts warranty. Each of those has been exceeded making the converter non warrantable. Since the fan and shroud were paid for out of pocket, they come with a 2-year warranty that is still intact, thus, the converter is not covered but the fan and shroud repair are. We only have a limited supply of loaners currently and did not have one available for immediate use when the car came in. know it's a frustrating situation for the customer but not sure it warranted and BBB complaint against us. We got the customer right in and diagnosed and are expediting the repair as much as possible. The customer requested it be done by this Saturday and we going to make sure we meet that deadline barring any unforeseen circumstances.

I am rejecting this response because: I talked to the Manager **** who supposedly is the one who’s overseeing the process and told him exactly what’s going on and I must say this is very frustrating knowing that I’ve bestowed my trust with Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet to fix my vehicle and finding solutions to keep this issue from reoccurring again and here I am 12 months later the same situation has occurred and **** constantly telling me that he’s sorry that this happened however doesn’t seem like he’s trying to do something about it to get the situation rectified.I’m currently in a very frustrating place at this moment because 1.I don’t even know if I’m gonna continue to enjoy my car 2.with these reoccurring events like these whose to say that this situation won’t happen again within the next 12 months or so.Then to top it off they didn’t have a loaner vehicle for me to drive until my car was ready and I had to spend more money out of my pocket for a rental car and Lyft fees.I’m asking that Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet take the bill off of me as well reimburse my Lyft and rental car fees.

      Regards,

      Business response

      04/15/2024

      Hello,

We do understand the customers frustrations. However, we have done all we can do. **** has done everything he can to try and help the customer. We have got the price of the APPROVED repairs down from what was originally quoted. It is uncertain why the issue keeps happening and we have no way of promising it won't again, during inspections we can't see any root cause or concern that would cause this type of failure other than a bad part. The good news is that the parts covered under the customers warranty on this visit will have the remainder of the 2-year parts warranty and the new converter installed on this visit will also now have its own 2-year parts warranty. We will not be taking care of the bill or any fees the customer has incurred for loaners and rides. We met our deadline for completion promised to the customer and the vehicle has been done since Friday April 12th. We apologize we did not have a car to provide the customer while theirs was being worked on.

I am rejecting this response because: even tho some of the price was reduced a little bit, however my main concern is what if something like this was to happen again will I be in the same predicament. This situation was very frustrating and the way that this was handled I’m not totally satisfied with the outcome and it puts me in strong questioned that if I purchase a Chevrolet vehicle should I even consider Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet as my dealer of choice.I picked up my vehicle this past Thursday and I hope and pray for the best.

I was sold a third-party warranty, and due to the finance manager filling out the paper improperly, marking it as a new car instead of used as it was none of the many issues I’ve had with the vehicle have been covered under the warranty. When the finance manager sold me the warranty he said it would be 24 months 125,000 miles from the time of purchase. Since it was filled out improperly under new vehicle, it would only cover 24 months 125,000 miles from 00 miles putting me just outside of coverage. I have called several times even speaking to the GM himself and they all told me nothing could be done. The finance manager told me “they don’t even offer a 24 month 125,000 mile warranty for used vehicles” beings he was the one who sold it to me I told him that itself is misleading and deceptive practice selling me a warranty to my used vehicle that is only for new vehicles.

The vehicle contract sold covers up to 125000 miles on the vehicle and was clearly explained that way. The vehicle has 175000 miles on it currently.

To whom it may concern.  I reject the businesses response due to the fact I was told the warranty was 125,000 miles from the time of purchase, which is the only reason I purchased it. I had several issues that were not covered under the warranty because it was not a  “New Vehicle” as  marked on the warranty contract and I contacted Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet, and they said they could do nothing to assist.  All along I was also in contact with Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet and the warranty company and the warranty company said all Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet had to do was correct the paper work and the warranty company would honor it but they wouldn’t stating  they don’t even offer a 125,000 mile warranty for a used vehicle which is unethical in itself because they sold me the used vehicle with 50,000+ miles and when I contacted the warranty company again they confirmed that they don’t even offer a 125,000 mile warranty for used vehicles which I am assuming is why the finance manager wrote it under new vehicle. He knew all along that I wouldn’t be covered for any damages and still sold me a $3000 warranty anyways. The warranty company told me at the beginning they would honor a refund if requested by Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet and when I told them that they said they wouldn’t do that. If you review their complaints online, many are due to the same unethical sales practice. My vehicle now has 170,000 miles but I have record contacting them several times when I had issues starting at 68,000 miles.

I purchased a red 2018 Chevy Silverado truck with about 43,800 miles on it on 11.4.23 for $37,000.

On 1.27.24, I was driving, the truck began shaking and the check engine light came on.  I took it to Coughlin Chevrolet in Marysville, OH. they had it for 3 hours, and said one of the lifters busted, bent 3 other lifters and the cam shaft was messed from the lifter breaking. He indicated the truck may need a new engine. I called Walberg for my service records as Coughlin indicated they would contact GM for assistance.

During the call, ****, the service manager, assured me the repairs would be covered under the extended warranty. I asked him to make sure because I did not remember purchasing the extended warranty. He said he was looking at my paperwork, and definitely had the extended warranty.

So, I had it towed from Coughlin to Walberg. Walberg got the truck on the 29th. On the 31st, I got a call from ****. He said I did not have an extended warranty. I asked him to reach out to GM to see if there was any assistance they might be willing to give me as my five year warranty expired on 1.31.23. On 1.1.23, **** said GM would pay 90% of the costs for repairs. On Friday, 2.2.23, I got a text indicating they did not know what was wrong with the truck.

I cannot get a manager on the phone. I have left multiple voicemails which are not returned. At this time, I do not know how much the repairs will cost, what repairs are necessary, and I was not offered a loaner.

I put $13,000 down on the truck.

I do not trust them to make the necessary repairs correctly.

I just want to say that in no way was my issues addressed.  They did speak with me about my truck, but only about what was wrong with it and after the BBB filed my complaint.  In no way was my complaint that was filed addressed.  Therefore, they are doing the bare minimum to resolve this matter.  In no way, by me excepting this resolve, makes anything okay.  I will still request a sit down meeting with the GM at that location.  The fact that I had to escalate things to this magnitude before anything was addressed is simply unacceptable.  Moreover, the only reason I’m excepting this as a response is because I don’t trust this business to actually put a new engine in my truck in a timely manner.

On November 2, 2023, I had taken my vehicle into Mark Wahlberg to have it looked at after an accident and the company not fixing the issue. I had some popping noises when I turned my steering wheel and now my vehicle was overheating. The service advisor, *** *******, had told me I had needed a new steering rack, strut, tire, bubbles removed from the line to the water pump and plastic under the car. They had gone in and "fixed" the issues. It was then Thanksgiving and my car had began to overheat again. I took it in and they had removed the bubbles again. Around December 11th, my vehicle had reduced engine power, was overheating and would not get to over 30 mph so I had to have my vehicle towed to the dealership. They then replaced my water pump along with everything else. From this day, my car has been overheating about every two weeks and I continually have to bring it back in to the dealership to "get the bubbles out of the line." There should be a forever fix instead of me having to come in every two weeks.
