Apex Plumbing replaced a 40 gallon hot water heater in a closet. The plumber could not reinstall the bifold door so I said I would do it later. It appears the plumber broke the door's top pivot pin when he banged it against a header. I replaced the pivot pin and reinstalled the door. Now the door will not close because the new water heater controls stick out about 1-1/8" too far. I talked to the plumber who said he did everything right. He gave me the option of paying Apex an additional $2,000 to install a "skinny" water heater. I told him he should have measured before installing the water heater. He replied that he did his due diligence and then said goodbye and hung up.Apex Pros Plumbing, Electric, Heating and Air Response

I was scheduled to get an estimate for duct cleaning at my house. I was scheduled 3 times and the technician didn't even bother to call! I gave up a day at the zoo with my grandkids to wait for my last appointment and he didn't call!Review from Ross M

Our Accounts Receivable Manager and Customer Advocate have both explained that the check you wrote back in 2022 did not clear, resulting in an outstanding balance for the work completed at your property. We also communicated that if you could provide proof from your bank that the check had cleared and we were paid, we would promptly remove the outstanding balance from your account. You provided two checks from two different jobs that cleared; however, there was no evidence to show that the check for the outstanding balance was among them. We have also supplied you with all three invoices you signed, and only one has an outstanding balance. We stand by our service, as you have not expressed any complaints about the work since our last visit. Shady business practices. Scheduled a plumbing appointment and service rep asked if I would like a free AC inspection. Stupid me said sure and boy was that a mistake. Long story short the plumbing tech never showed up, but the HVAC techs did and their manager just happened to be in the area and stopped by as well. My HVAC system was running fine, they gave it a clean bill of health but insisted I add on several pieces of new equipment to the tune of $5k. I declined but they didn’t like taking no for an answer and insisted at the very least I add surge protection and a spring tune up. Just wanting them to hurry up and leave I agreed. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago when I go to turn on my AC for the first time and guess what my outside unit doesn’t turn on. After calling a different contractor out they discovered that the Apex HVAC tech didn’t connect the transformer wire to the outside unit, making it impossible to communicate with the thermostat and inoperable. I have no doubt this was likely done on purpose as a ploy to schedule another appointment with Apex. Had emergency service for Sunday but they could not arrive till Monday. Had gas leak on my outdoor grill , gas leaking into air. They charged 972.00 for 30.00 part on/ off switch. I needed it done! Took them less than a hour! Call company for explanation no response!Review from Karen C

My kitchen faucet was leaking and making a mess on the floor. I contacted APEX to come out and install a new one I bought that morning. The service person was very profession. He shared the price to install my new $125 faucet.....was.....$425.00.....I could not believe it! In my opinion, that was absurd. Needless to say I didn't have them install it.Review from Frank S

After two no shows, the person they sent was not honest about the work that needed done and gave a ridiculously high estimate after telling me I was getting a “veteran discount” As soon as I said something about getting a 2nd quote he said he could probably give us a better deal. Huge red flag. I should have gotten the "better deal" to start with. Also when the 2nd plumber came out and inspected our sewer line they said it wasn't even something that I should be worried about. According to their camera and inspection things don't warrant needing to line the pipes at this time. I definitely would not recommend this company to anyone.Review from aaron b

Ordinarily, I would handle troubleshooting and making simple HVAC repairs. We woke up to an intermittent furnace failure at the most inopportune time possible. It was the same day my wife was set to donate her kidney to her father who was in end-stage kidney failure. So, at 3 am I took to the internet to locate someone who could come out and make the repair while we were at *** ******* *****r for surgery. The appointment was easy to make, but that is the only positive thing I have to say. We were given options at $9K, 3K, and the bare necessities at $1,100. Not willing to spend $1,100 on an old 80% furnace I refused any repairs and was left with a $350 service call. After spending 5 min troubleshooting it was clearly apparent it was a bad flame sensor. A $40 OEM part!!! It would be obvious to even the most green technician that this was the issue. These people are hard selling predators and you should avoid them at all costs.Review from Geralyn E

Not happy with Apex. A simple plastic toilet handle repair , took 15 minutes, cost $303! When asked why so much, I was told that is their flat rate. Two weeks later, the tank cracked at the handle site and flooded the bathroom. All they would do to rectify the situation was 25% off a new toilet. NOT how to keep customers! I’ve never been so disappointed, upset, disgusted with such poor customer care.
