The company charged me 600 dollars for a home appraisal that did not take place due to complications with our mortgage company. Upon cancelling, we were told a refund should be issued, per ************************ About a week ago. After asking for an update and not receiving a refund, we inquired again and have not been informed of any progress.Initial Complaint

We requested appraisal on 4/12. Whatever report was shared, has wrong address. Underwriter has requested to change the address but still it is not done. I am going to lose my contract in couple of days and I am not able to do anything about it.Business response

Hello,
We have reviewed this order and have noted that the appraiser initially sent in the correct appraisal. The underwriter requested a change and when the appraiser re-sent in the report they accidentally provided another they were working on.
This was fixed within days and the completed appraisal was sent to the lender on 5/11.Initial Complaint

I refinanced a home. The lender I chose had appraisals completed through nation valuations services. They reported I would have to pay for the appraisal before they could send me the updated rates. I paid on March 18th and then was told by the lender that my appraisal was waved on March 21. I reached out to NVS 5 times to request a refund as the service was never completed and never even scheduled. They have ignored my request and it is now April 11th. My lender is also aware of the situation and they have been trying to also advocate for my refund but they have also been unsuccessful. I am still trying to obtain a refund and am pretty frustrated at this point.Business response

Hello, Nations Valuation Services did not complete this order. We received an appraisal order from our client on 3/3, but they cancelled with us and went to another company. The borrower was refunded in full immediately when the file was cancelled on 3/16. His claim noted he made payment on March, 18th, and it appears that payment was to a different Appraisal Management Company after his lender sent the order to another company.
