On 07 June 23, 1st Choice Renew LLC owner, Aaron C****, came to my house to perform a site survey for a deck install. He sent me a $10,575.00 quote to be paid in three (3) installments, for a 12-foot by 22-foot deck with a 4-foot center staircase and railings. He stated it would take 5 days total for the install. On 21 June 2023, I signed the deck construction contract and mailed the first check in the amount of $3.525.00 to 1st Choice Renew LLC for material purchases. On 30 June 2023, 1st Choice Renew LLC completed the deck framing and on 01 July 2023, I provided a second check in the amount of $3,525.00. On 07 July 2023, Aaron C**** requested the final payment of $3,525.00, stating the crew completed the majority of the deck but due to incoming weather, they would come back the next day to finish the deck staircase railing, reinstall the siding and vent cover that were temporarily removed to install the deck, clean up the work site, and pick up their remaining tools. I paid him the final $3,525.00 with the faith that he would keep his word and come back to complete the work. To-date, he has not and I've sent Aaron three (3) emails to ************************ on 12 July, 17 July, and 24 July, however, he has not responded despite me providing pictures of the unfinished work. Additionally, I have called Aaron's cellphone and the company's number nine (9) times on 19-21 July, 24 July, 26 July, and 28 July, however, calls from my cellphone with accompanying voicemails went unanswered. Finally, on 28 July, I called Aaron from my work phone and he answered the phone because it was a different number. I recorded our phone conversation where he promised he would come to my house the next day on 29 July 2023 to finish the work. To-date, he still has not completed the work (I also have video evidence he knows it's incomplete) so I'm filing this complaint in an effort to give 1st Choice Renew LLC the opportunity to fix this issue before it becomes a legal matter.Initial Complaint

1st Choice Renew (Aaron C****) and I signed a contract on May 12th for a construction and remodeling project. I gave them the down payment and the first project payment. They were supposed to get permits from the city and the HoA. They were supposed to provide labor and materials to install a vinyl fence, a composite deck, and paint the walls and ceilings of my basement. They were also supposed to lay vinyl flooring that I would provide. They came out cut my rear exit steps off of my house, setup part of the frame for my deck, and dug the holes for my fence. They collected the payment and then disappeared. They did not file the permits for the work that they were supposed to do prior to starting construction. For over 3 weeks they have not responded to phone calls, emails, texts, or voicemails. There have been no attempts at communication on their part since 6/14/22 by email. They haven't been onsite since the previous week. Since they will not communicate that covers the fact that they have not tried to resolve the dispute. I want them to come finish the job that there is a contract for them to do.
