On the 12th of Sept 2022 I placed an order for a 2023 Honda *** which I was told that it may *********** to 8 weeks before it would come in. ( also placed a $500.00 deposit on the car) Since then they have posted a number of times on their Web Site that they have *** on the lot When I call about why I have not been called, I am told that those *** have been sold and that the only way to get people in, they have to show the cars are in stock. On the 28th of Oct ****************************************************************** the **** that they have three in transit. I told him yes of course. Since then they have shown on their WEB Site that they have 12 *** in stock When I phoned my salesman ****, I was told that they all were sold and they have 1 coming in in a few weeks. When my husband went to their WEB site and asked for a E price a *********************** replied, that the *** I was asking about was sold but they had one coming in a couple of weeks. To me it is the bait and switch to get people in the door then talk them into putting down a $500.00 not refundable deposit then string them along making promises they have not intention of fulfilling.

Hello *****,I'm sorry to hear about your unhappiness with the current car situation and shortage but please know this is extremely frustrating for us as well. We have a process, as do most other dealers, that we can see what cars Honda is allocating for us every month and from this sheet we can tell customers which cars are available (model, color, trim, etc). As our salespeople make calls or take incoming calls for certain vehicles-if we know they are allocated to us-we can then start to take deposits on said cars. In your case, *************** received a deposit from you on a certain black HR-V and this secured the car for you. Any vehicles that show up on our website are technically in our inventory (whether they're here on the ground or are in transit) but it doesn't speak to their availability. The only way to know if YOUR specific vehicle that you made a deposit on is available is to talk to your salesperson. They want you to get this car as soon as possible as much as you do because they then have a happy customer. The reason your various calls and communications with ******************** or anyone from our sales department showed the HRVs you inquired about were pre sold is because they truly are. In fact, when **** saw that there was a *************-V that was due to arrive sooner than your Black HR-V, he called and asked if you wanted it since it would be here sooner and when you said yes, he moved the original deposit to this vehicle. We really do try to accommodate everyone and when a deposit is made on a certain vehicle-it doesn't go to anyone but that person who made the deposit. We can only relay the information that Honda is giving us as to the estimated time of arrival. Unfortunately this is not a perfect system and Honda (like every other manufacturer) is experiencing different transit issues, manufacturing delays, etc so the timeline can and often does change but our sales team does their best to keep you informed all along the way. We always welcome your calls to the salesperson you originally made the deposit with as they best know your situation. Please understand in this certain scenario-if you no longer want to wait and want a refund on your deposit, we'd be willing to do that. We always aim for transparency so please remember that you are in the same situation as anyone else who "pre buys" a car with us by making a $500 deposit...everyone is at the liberty of Honda (just like every other car manufacturer going through this right now) telling us when cars will arrive and we always do our best to keep you informed as we continue to get updates. Just a friendly reminder, if you choose to take your $500 deposit back, it would start the car buying process all over again as that HR-V that currently has your name on it, goes back into the available pool of vehicles for salespeople to put other customers' names on and hold a $500 deposit on them.
