      Hello,My item, a wooden garden potting bench table, was received broken. When I reached out to the seller I provided proof of defect then was sent the item again, once again broken. I contacted again and provided proof of defect and they sent pieces to repair it. No only were the items they sent not sufficient to fix the table, but this required assembly beyond the scope of the original purchase. I asked for a refund and they told me that I could only get one if I shipped the table back at my own expense, which is not okay because I received broken items. They had an obligation to provide me with the item in good condition.

      Hello ****,

      After reviewing the notes on the order, in regard to the original two tables shipped. It appears as though one arrived in excellent condition and the other had some defects. As mentioned previously in communication, we will need the damaged table back for warranty purposes with the manufacturer. We would pay to get this item returned via a ***** call tag, in which the item will be picked up at your location.

      We sent you a replacement table, which according to notes; had 4 boards that need replaced. We requested the manufacturer send you the replacement boards and received notification they were shipped and received. 

      Notes indicate that these boards were deemed unsatisfactory by you.

      A team member will be in communication with you, as we will be setting up a ***** Call Tag to have both tables returned (original damaged table and replacement table) along with the replacement boards from the manufacturer. Lehman's will be handling the price of the call tag and upon receiving the items back, you will be refunded $592.89.

      Having bought a small item from *********** I was added to their emailing list. I have tried to use the Unsubscribe link on their email but it does not function. I wrote an email to their customer service and received no response. They continue to send spam marketing email everyday.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this seems to have resolved the problem.  I have not received spam e-mail from them for the last two days.  Thank you very much BBB.

      I purchase many items from Lehman’s and they never delivered. After almost a month, I told Lehman’s that if they could not deliver by Friday, the order was canceled. They again failed to ship. But instead of refunding my money, they shipped a few items late. Now they want me to pay to have these items returned. I also asked to have this order recalled. ***** says Lehman’s can do this. However, Lehman’s refuses. I need my money back now and help figuring out an equitable resolution.

      Hello, thank you for reaching out to share your experience. I have looked into the events surrounding your order and have refunded the shipped costs ($23.99) associated with the order. I do apologize for the delays that occurred with shipping your order. 

      I do see that the packages that shipped on 4/26 have yet to arrive, as they are still in transit per *****. I would anticipate them arriving this week. Once received, if you no longer wish to keep the items, you can print a prepaid label from our website to send them back to us. Upon receipt and inspection, we can refund you for them. At the time of the cancellation request, all items had shipped except the child's wheelbarrow. It was cancelled from the order as requested.

       I am rejecting this response because:

      This order failed to ship for weeks. It was already canceled when Lehman’s shipped it. I need Lehman’s to recall this shipment by logging into their ***** account and doing so. ***** allows Lehman’s to do this. But instead Lehman’s wants to give me extra work. I have a father with stage 4 cancer. I have a mother in law with bone cancer undergoing chemo. I have a 4 year old who needed his birthday present on time. I have a new born, 3 other children, and 2 children I mentor. I need Lehman’s to recall the 2 packages. I have been asking this for days. Lehman’s is trying to force me to accept this order by giving me work I did not sign up for. This is wrong and bad customer service.

Will I ever get my stove or do I ask for my money back I paid ******* for this stove.My bank has the record of my order if I need it I can get it but I hope it does not come to this.All I am asking for is my stove. I talk to some lady the other day and she could not get to the place that is or was making my stove what do I have to do to get my stove or my money back?It's over due now! So how much longer should I wait for it. ******* is a lot of money for me to spend on a stove.I'm asking for my stove or my money back A.S.A.P. Please call me at ************  no one has called to see if they can bring my stove to me I think I got screwed but I sure hope not. I live off of S.S. only so it takes me a while to save up this much money.I am 65 years old. I have called them a lot and they keep saying someone will get back to me well they have not.

      When the guy called me he said he has not got to talk to the place he was thinking about another two to three more weeks! Now in this reply it's telling me 8 to 10 more weeks sounds like I am getting the run around.I would be glade to wait a little longer if I knew I would get my stove.This stove cost a lot of money I'm asking for my stove to get here before the year end if not I want my money back.Or how long should I wait???

      I placed an order with Lehmans on September 19. The total was $72.64, using Paypal & associated credit card. One item was shipped & was damaged & returned. The rest of the order was not shipped. The damaged goods part of order was returned & Lehmans refunded that item in the amount of $12.71. The remainder of the order was backordered. Lehmans said they did not know when the backordered items would be available. However, they charged for those backordered items + shipping (!) at the time of the order. When asked about charging for unfulfilled/backordered orders, they said it was Paypal policy to charge when an order is placed. That has never been my experience with Paypal. In fact, Paypal always says they do not charge until an order is shipped! That is obviously Lehmans policy, not Paypals, and it is unethical to charge for undelivered goods/unfulfilled orders (plus SHIPPING for UNSHIPPED orders!)Lehmans additional policy is for customers having to wait for 30 days before filing request for refund for backordered items, even though they were PAID for unfulfilled orders. After their required time period had passed, I requested the full refund for the unfulfilled order. They said they would refer it to their ****************** which is absurd. They should have issued the full refund immediately. I waited another day but there was no further response and no refund has been issued.I demand that Lehmans REFUND my money that they appropriated over a month ago when they knew their items were backordered (and are STILL backordered) and that a FULL REFUND, INCLUDING SHIPPING CHARGES FOR UNSHIPPED ITEMS! be issued immediately.The original order total was $72.64. The first damaged goods that were returned from that order was refunded for $12.71. That means that the $72.64 - $12.71 = $59.63 and that is the amount owed to me. REFUND $59.63 NOW!!

      We regularly allow backorders on some of our items and have our payment policies posted online for customer reference. At any point during the backorder process, customers are welcome to cancel their backordered items and are refunded accordingly. 

      The customer used a promotional code on the order, and was refunded the price paid for the merchandise returned. Until this notice, we had not received communication from the customer regarding cancellation of the backorder items. 

      At this time, after review of the complaint, I have cancelled the backordered items and have refunded the customer for the monies associated with the backordered items.

       Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

      This is resolution is satisfactory because Lehmans has credited the proper amount to the credit card account for the order not received, not shipped and with no predicted time or assurance of any shipment at all. Lehmans billed in full, including shipping, for an order they did not ship and could offer not assurance of when the order would be shipped. They claimed this was Paypal's policy, but it has never been Paypal's policy to charge for UNSHIPPED/UNFULFILLED orders. 

      Yes, the order was backordered and that would not have been any problem BUT Lehmans billed for a backordered item, including charging shipping, when they did not know when (or if) they would be able to fulfill the order. They charged immediately. That is unethical! 

      In their response to my complaint here, they said it was the first they knew of my request for refund, but that is not true. I used their process for requesting a refund and have the email record of that request and their response to it! (They said they would "refer it to the Returns Department."  This was for an order that was NEVER even shipped at all!)

      I am very displeased with Lehmans but am glad at least that they did refund the charges they made, which they should NOT have made in the first place.

      March 17 2021 spent ***** online plus 26 in shipping for 4 items, was sent 1 with no update. Asked for a refund two weeks ago along with the extra shipping fee was only given 6 dollars back. Said would give full refund no wont respond.

      As you can see by the attached messages, we have attempted to explain to this customer that he has been refunded for the shipping difference between Standard and Expedited shipping. Based upon his emails, he became increasingly agitated and began using foul language. At that point, our communication ceased.

       

      I have additional evidence including Live Chat transcripts and other emails sent to us by this customer.
