      Meadows of Catalpa have been trying to get me evicted from my apartment for about 8 months. I have been giving the opportunity to have multiple companies help me with my rent and they have turned down both. I first company was Job and family services that agreed to pay 800 of my rent and in agreement to stop the eviction that was placed on me. They filled out w9 forms and landlord statements. Agreed to have Home relief grant pay my back payment of 750 plus late fees just to say they will not longer accept 3rd party payments after the fact that i was already approved for the program. Last year I was behind 3 months and owed a total of 2,450 dollars from late payments and behind rent due to me not working. I managed to pay it through loans and credit cards that are now maxed out. Now im currently behind on my rent by a month and they are still unwilling to help me. Even though i been living in my apartment since 2019. My rent went from being 550 to 750 within 4 years of time. I have yet to have my carpet cleaned or changed. The holes in my walls from a tentant living underneath me having roaches.

      Meadows of Catalpa has worked with Mr. ***** on several occasions throughout his tendency, despite being late 33 times paying rent. It was explained to him that the office can not accept third party payments if the clauses limit future evictions for non payment of rent. A conversation was held with Mr. ***** on 5/17/2023 at around 9:30am and he has agreed to pay the balance of his rent by Friday 5/19/2023.

      I called Meadows of Katapa December 24 to put in a work order because my water wasn’t working in the kitchen and the toilet wasn’t flushing and I haven’t heard anything back and today’s the 27th of December and since then my place has flooded there was a pipe that broke above me in the ceiling and water is pouring in my living room, bedroom and bathroom and I’ve left numerous messages and emails and haven’t heard anything back. I had to call the city of Dayton to come turn the water off along with the fire department and I can’t get in touch with no one in the office or the emergency contact line. Please help.

      Hi, returning your your email regarding the flooding in complaints. I had about my my apartment complex meadows of catalpa. They never got back with me. Someone just showed up and got the water up to this day is still damp and it smells the toilets not working and I’m the process of getting the water up they broke the dishwasher. Still have had no communication at all.

      On Friday December 23, 2022 a winter storm hit our area causing severe damage to our entire apartment complex of 323 occupied units. As issues began to arise on Friday December 23, 2022, the leasing office and later the emergency line were bombarded with calls. The emergency phone service had long wait times due to several calls coming in at once. Our maintenance staff was on site working on the issues all throughout the weekend. However, the extremely cold temperatures and the duration of bad weather impeded our staff from being able to complete the repairs at a faster rate. Our number one priority was to restore water for all of our tenants and stop any leaks that arise. Maintenance returned to apartments between December 29-January 6 to finish any drywall repairs. As of todays date, the repairs to your apartment have been completed. If there is anything pending or if something was missed please make us aware .       I have submitted multiple complaints. There’s no communication. The problem still not fixed. Clearly I’m dealing with a slumlord situation so my best bet is just to move. Will not submit any more complaints. It seems pointless at this point tired of going back-and-forth with no results.

      I'm filing a complaint due to the poor services that I received recently as a paying tenant of Meadows of Catalpa LLC. I have listed below the following issues that took place in the last 24 hours: - 12/23/2022 at 9 am I woke up and realized I had no running water in my unit and the climate was extremely cold. -I contacted my property manager at 9:40am (call history as proof) to report no water running and it being extremely cold in my unit; I was informed that they only had emergency maintenance currently, but would inform maintenances. - A maintenance man came to my unit about 1030am, he looked at the pipes under the sink and stated that he had to grab a part and would return. - At 1228pm I contacted the office again and spoke to the manger Ashley Woodall; and informed her that the maintenance man said he would return after grabbing a part. She apologized and explained they had several calls and reports of leaks, and that he probably left to go help someone else and should be back. No one called or came back. The office closed at 530pm -Started calling emergency maintenance at 630pm, line rang busy until 703pm, was told that my call would be reported to the on call worker, and to call back around 740pm if I don't receive a phone call from the worker.. -Called back at 745 line rang busy until 812pm which then I waiting on hold for 20mins before speaking to someone, reported that no one from my property contacted me yet and that i've called twice so far. -Called back at 947pm waited on hold until 955pm to report again, was informed that calls were being answered by worker. I informed the operator that i've been without water since early morning. -Main bathroom pipes BURSTED at 130am; called emergency maintenance and was told that worker was in my area and i would be contacted. worker showed up with a screw driver and pliers. The water was spraying out of the walls, had to use totes to catch water. After 6 tries worker finally got leak to stop and asked if he could come back tomorrow.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution as of October 13, 2022. It’s almost done everything is fixed except for the the plugs in the wall and I haven’t heard anything back yet. Thank you

      I have lived here about 1 1/2 yr and within this time been paying for a pool that they haven’t let anyone use as well as a gym that is broke down and a laundry room which is broken down with a disgusting broken health hazard toilet then within just this week or 2 the buildings water has been turned off 4-5 times without notice for hours at a time and no way to directly contact maintenance today my water has been off over 12 hours from around and is still off currently and they haven’t been here doing any form of work to get it turned back on or even been around the building to attempt to fix the issue

      Hello,

      My name is **** and I' am a leasing agent at Meadows of Catalpa. The pool has been opened for a few weeks now. When it was first opened it was only available during business hours (Monday-Friday 10am-5:30pm), as we had no pool monitor. Currently, it is open Monday-Sunday 10am-8pm. Please stop by the office to pick up your pool pass and ask any questions you may have in regards to the pool. The fitness center is open only during business hours. I understand the equipment might be limited but that is what we have available at this time. We are hoping to upgrade this amenity soon. The laundry facility machines are property of CSC Service Works. They have been contacted to come out and check out the machines. The restroom area will be taken care of as well by our maintenance staff.

      In regards to the water being shut off. Late at night on 7/16 there was an emergency call about an apartment drain backing up. Our maintenance staff came over. They tried fixing the unit but were unsuccessful. **** ****** Plumbing had to be called. They were unable to come in until 7/17 early morning. They worked on the drain and were able to fix it. Unfortunately, in this type of scenarios water has to be shut off in order to prevent major flooding to the apartments. The drain that was causing the problem was the main drain which cover a few buildings. We do prefer to give tenants notices of when water has to be turned off but in emergencies we must act quickly to prevent further damage. 

      We hope this incident does not repeat itself and we apologize for any inconvenience.
