Contacted Mr. Evans after seeing his video on the BBB site. He came across like he'd be a reliable candidate for the job of replacing my blacktop driveway with concrete. He replied to my email immediately and showed up to assess the job, take measurements and said he could definitely do the job. We talked about the details of what I was wanting, he stated the price he charges and when it could be started. I was in agreement and the next day signed the contract agreement. True to his word, the job started on the date agreed upon, but not without some significant issues Mr. Evans ran into. Although he ran into problems, he stayed on course to do as he'd promised. The job called three truck-pores of concrete (I only found out his issues after the days work was finished). One problem I had though was communication in a couple instances: Not told before hand I couldn't drive over it for a week - my car was in the garage - had I known, I would have moved to park on the street. The following day, I took it upon myself and decided it was hardened enough to quickly relocate my car to the street. Another, what 'backfill' meant, extra chrg for material only. On day 3, I noticed a crack had formed in the middle of two 'control-cuts' that were about 12 to 14 inches apart. I contacted Mr. Evans immediately and he came out that evening. I was told this was an area where the 2nd pore ended and the 3rd pore resumed and my driving over the spot may have contributed to it forming (this was not the case). I'd noticed when the job was in progress there was significant time laps between when the concrete truck left and when another one returned with more material. Also, he had not 'blocked' off the end of the 2nd pore with 2x4's to begin the 3rd pore appropriately. Another issue was the driveway entrance from the street - there was now a large crack and gouge of concrete missing. This too was brought to Mr. Evans attention. Mr. Evans remedied my issues at no further cost.

Thanks, Ms. Bennett, for your customer review. For all future clients its not recommended that you drive on the freshly paved concrete for at least a week, to prevent any issues with cracking. It is best practice to get your complete driveway done so that all the concrete can bind at once, unlike this instance where the approach failed while placing the driveway.
