I just found out I'm still getting charged for planet fitness that was suppose to be cancelled over years ago. I've been down there 3 different times over this. I called there billing department. When I first cancelled it over years ago. I went down there and signed a paper to cancel it. The next two months money was still coming out. So I went to a different planet fitness. They couldn't do anything about it. I was told to call the billing department, so I did. I wasn't cancelled. Go back to the one I signed up at. So I did. I was told I wasn't getting charged no more. The money wasn't coming out of my debit card anymore. But they are still charging me for this after years. Now I have a growing balance that keeps growing. I just called them and I was told once again to come back down there again because it was never cancelled. I was told they couldn't do anything about it, if I didn't have a email saying it was cancelled. This has been going on for years now. I don't have the same phone or email address. This is bull crap.Initial Complaint

I went in and cancelled my membership on 9-27-2021 but the business continues to attempt to bill my card. I have tried to call but can not reach anyone there since then. I have no idea who to contact at this point other than the BBB or the attorney generalBusiness response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/12/06) */ Member does not have a signed cancellation document on file. As per our policy, which is outlined in the Agreement contract, a member will need to come in or send a signed letter to the location in order to cancel. In addition I have attempted to call member with the phone number provided and it is not a valid number. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/12/09) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I am currently out of the hospital from a hysterectomy and ill with covid. Is there a way I can send in written form instead? Thanks
