    We contracted with Moody's Remodeling, which had good reviews and A+ rating on your website on Oct 5, 2023. and paid him the required 50% deposit which was $15,000. We had just purchased this home and wanted the remodeling done before we move in. Our plan date for moving in was mid-January 2024. Since Moody's verbally stated he could start 1 of the 3 projects contracted within 2 weeks and the rest by the end of the month. Moody's got the contract because he was the only 1 out of 3 companies that could get started within a few weeks and it would meet our move in plans. He did not give me a copy of the contract that day said his office manager would email me the contract. It took several text messages before I finally got a copy of the contract only because I told him the bank needed a copy for the loan we had applied for. Received the contract on Oct 18. I contacted him on Oct 20, because the skylights in the detached building was the 1st project and the weather was changing. In a text he said he would send someone over next week, delayed due to the rain. Sent a text to him on 10/24 asking about skylights again, he texted this week they will be in. Still not done. In that text he also stated he would begin filtering in workers to start on the other 2 projects. I texted him back asking for a budget for the items we were to choose, he said middle of road, like flooring 3-3.50, faucets 175 and so on. I contacted Mark because we had an issue with our bank loan approval and needed some things completed before they would approve. The bank gave us a 2 week deadline. Mark was sick with Covid, he did come the next week and help us out, we had others that also helps us out. I am running out of characters to complete my complaint, but I have 27 pages of text messages, just as many email messages and lots of pictures. He is threating me with breach of contract and we don't want him back on our property, his work is shabby.

    I hired Moody's, based on a recommendation from my insurance company. They came out over a year ago to fox a shower leak that had ruined the wall around the shower. The guy they sent out had serious issues mentally and probably with substances. He would talk about how the Russian Mafia was after him and yell at his girlfriend on the phone out front of my house when he was supposed to be working. The job he did was amazingly bad. The drywall was bowed out and the shower door was 4 inches to high, letting water come out at the bottom. He didn't caulk the areas around the shower where he had drywalled. So the owner came out a couple of times to try and fix it. He did a decent job, but it wasn't A+ work. The caulking wasn't done and there were cuts to the flooring. Fasttrack a year later and the shower is again leaking and the drywall is ruined. I called their number several times, but never got a return call. I then called the owners cell. He did call back, not remembering who I was. That is the last time we talked. He did send his son out to look at it. He pulled the handle and cartridge out with the water still on, which flooded the back of my bathroom. He then said he would be back the next day, a Friday, but never showed. I called the owner several times, but he never called back. He did text me telling me how busy he was and how few workers he had. Its been about 6 weeks now, with no resolution to the issue. They refuse to come out and see if it was their work that caused this. If it wasn't, I was more than willing to pay for the work. However, they will not call me back. There were three different times they were supposed to show up, but no one every did.

    Hello Derek, We are sorry if your experience was less than A+ in your opinion. However we feel that we did everything to your satisfaction at the time of the service. We did have an issue with one sub on your job however as soon as we noticed the issue he was promptly let go and replaced. As for the shower door we recommended it be replaced when we quoted the job and was told no it was still in good working order. The door was at least 10 yrs old at the time of our service. Once the door wouldn't seal properly like we said it wouldn't we installed a new shower door at no cost to you for labor. Also I think its important to point out that its been almost 2 years since the initial service. Its rather unfortunate that you had another issue, however the work is well outside our standard 1 yr warranty on labor. You stated this upon your first call with Mr. Moody. Mr. Moody did send someone out to inspect it and Mr.Moody told you if it was a simple fix there would be no charge even though the warranty had lapsed by almost a year.. upon arrival the contractor was told that you was doing laundry and would rather not shut the water off, The contractor also told you that some shower valves the cartridge can be removed without shutting the water off and he made you aware of the risk before pulling the cartridge thus the reason for the water you speak of. however no water went outside the shower according to our guy. We think its crucial that when leaving a review its as factual as possible and that's why we are responding. Upon inspection we conveyed to you that the fix would not be free as because it was not a simple fix in a sms message and asked if you'd like a quote and we never received a response. Mr. Moody did not answer because he had forgotten what customer was calling, because he has your number programmed into his address book. He answered because one of our customers was calling and he didn't know about what. Upon completion of the project Mr. Moody met with you and you stated that you was satisfied with the job. We collected final payment and fast forward to almost 2yrs later and here we are. Again we apologize that you feel as if we gave you less than A+ services but we are unable to see what more we could have done here. We originally gave you free labor at the time of service, and we sent someone out free of charge for a product that was outside its warranty. We are more than happy to address the leak but were never told to provide a price. Thanks for your business and again our apologies. Moodys Remodeling.
