I hired ***** ********* business to install flooring in my kitchen and bathroom. Install baseboards throughout my house & install all new interior and exterior doors. I was quoted $8840 including labor and materials. On the first day Mike and Jordan were sent out to lay flooring in the kitchen. It took them two days to lay the flooring.Upon arriving home I noticed my LVP’s weren’t clipped together correctly I pointed it out & the response I got was ‘They're together all the way. I haven't used this specific brand before but Ive laid Vinyl Planks.’After showing Jordan what I meant with previously installed floors in my livingroom he said ‘I can find the same things you're talking about in here too’ I put it behind me & dealt with it.They started baseboards.I pointed out a corner that is 1/4” off the ground & above the adjoining piece.Another corner where there is a large gap where they meet. They never filled any nail holes or finished caulking the top of them.Random small walls don’t have any baseboard at all. After bringing these issues to light the excuses I got were my floors are uneven & my walls aren't square. At this point I kept getting the run around trying to get them to come back out & finish the work.Jason had my doors but couldn't get them for ‘personal reasons’.A month of Ill be there this day or that day & them never showing nor hearing from him.I started getting fed up and said I was done with him.He eventually came out & ‘installed’ 5 interior doors.By install I mean hanging them on the existing hinges & not replacing any door frames as discussed. The doors were hung primed only. One door is 1/2 inch too short.I was told theyd be back that Friday & Monday to hang the remaining doors & finish the job. After not showing again I officially fired his company & asked for a detailed cost for materials & labor.I was charged ridiculously for labor & for things he took when he left. Not 1 thing he started is near completion or done correctly but was charged as such.

The client was upset when she saw that I was able to purchase her doors cheaper that she could have bought them for. My guys left price tag stickers on the sides of the doors. Part of the perks of being a contractor and spending a lot of money at different stores is that you are able to purchase material at lower costs. We agreed upon the cost together when we started and at that time I was unsure if I would be able to even get the doors at a lesser cost.

I do agree that the job took much longer than it should have and she is correct in stating that was due to some personal problems that arose.

I would also like to note that this job was not done under Valiant General Contracting. Valiant is a General Contracting business in which we do larger jobs. Her job was done under a seperate business entity.

Client breached contract by adding work that is not in the contact and not wanting to pay. They expect more work that is not included in the contract to be done free.
