I created a Lendly loan and was told I had until 3/11 to cancel it with no interest or penalty. I called to inquire and was guided through the online payment process. Over the next two days, I noticed no payment was made, so I called again. The rep told me they couldn’t take my bank, despite it being the same account I’ve had on file for years. They had no issue issuing the loan or deducting $152 from my account on 3/11, when I was told repayment wouldn’t start until 3/27. I was advised to try another card or bank. I checked online, where it stated someone could pay on my behalf, but the online system wouldn’t accept it. I called, and they said it wasn’t an option, contradicting the website. I spent $58 transferring money to another card, but that didn’t work either. After wasting two days and $80, I spoke with a supervisor who informed me they only accept a select list of banks and debit cards. They claimed I needed a “real” bank, dismissing Walmart’s Forest Bank, which has physical locations and tellers, as not a “real bank.” They also refused to email me a list of acceptable banks. Their policy is unfair, discriminatory, and impossible for those with poor credit. I can’t open a “real” bank account due to my credit, and Lendly is forcing me to stay in a loan with $5k in interest. They can issue funds to my bank but won’t accept repayment through the same account. They misled me for days, and when I asked for an extension due to their issue, they refused. This feels like a bait-and-switch, and their practices should be investigated.

I’ve been using Lendly since May 5. I knew they had high interest rates, but I started noticing suspicious transactions that I never received email notifications for. I’m still paying off a $1,500 loan, and despite them deducting over $100+ directly from my paycheck before it even reaches my bank, the total amount I had to pay increased to $2,000 after just a few months. I lost my job, and my account went to debt collection, but I never received any email notification about it. However, my balance suddenly dropped to $1,336. I later returned to work for the same employer, so my paycheck resumed, and the payments continued. When I called Lendly to remove my card, they said they couldn’t do it and referred me to the debt collection agency handling my account. The agency also said they couldn’t remove it and told me to contact my employer. My employer, in turn, said they couldn’t remove it either. I even tried removing it myself, but the system wouldn’t allow me to. I have screenshots of everything and want to know if I’m being scammed.

This is an illegal loan where the interest rate exceeds what is allowed by law in MT. I took out a loan of 2000 and I have paid back 2,286.05 to date but still owe 2,659.41. This is illegal.

I am hoping the company can come to a payment plan as I don’t have extra means and may be filing for bankruptcy. The amount I owe is just not going down at all. I made several payments and the loan is like remained the same. I had to take out my direct deposit ACH because then I realize that this loan is just so predatory. I would like to set up a payment of a certain amount for three months so I can pay off the balance that’s just not going down. That 1500 dollars not going to be paid in time for months and months. How is this even legal?

    Consumer’s Duplicate Complaint:

I’ve paid up over 1400 on this loan of 1500. Every time I pay a lot of money is coming in interest. I recently made a payment of 139.00 on this loan. Still accumulating and I’m in fear that I’ll be paying off almost 5 grand on a 1500 dollar loan in the future. I’m filing for bankruptcy that’s all. There’s no way for them to come to a resolution since they’re always saying CC bank is the one loaning. There’s no agreement and I’m getting a headache. I even messaged the state general office. I have to say I’m harassed by email daily and phone calls. I’ll be filing for harassment with a lawyer. Just going to show them prove on email etcetera. But in the mean time I’ll be filing for bankruptcy so I can be at peace from Lendly. I’m tired.

    Consumer’s Desired Resolution:
Modification/discontinuance of an advertised claim; Need small court settlement

they are charging me 10+ dollars a DAY in interest. the interest amount charged has not changed despite me paying the loan down from it's original 1500, to 697. I had it down to 697. on March 23 2024 . today is April 8 2024 and my amount due is now 823. this is inaccurate, because interest is a percentage, therefore I should absolutely not be paying the same on 700, as I did on 1500. this is unacceptable predatory lending . 10 in interest a day on a 700$ loan? absolutely inaccurate , this is illegal and deceptive practice by this business and I intend to take action if my interest is not accurately recalculated when I make additional payments to bring the principal down , which I did.

I have had multiple predatory lending loans through said company. They have collected way more than normal interest on what I have ever borrowed. These loan types are illegal in my state, they report to my credut affecting my credit score. I have filed complaints with my credit report and will be also contacting my state attorney general. I emailed to stop ach withdrawals and also collection and they have failed to do so. With all 3 of the loans of the loand I have had in the past there is nothing owed with the extreme interest they charge all 3 loans have been more than paid with ample interest.

I entered into a loan with Lendly in August 2023 for $2000. I have paid them $76 weekly from my check on the amount of $1,824.00. I called in and requested a hardship adjustment because of a medical tragedy in my family causing me to become a one income household overnight. The gentleman I spoke with said Sorry about your bad luck. We offer no adjustments or hardship modifications after the lady that transferred me to him said that is why she was transferring me. As before I mentioned I have already paid $1824.00 to this company for a $2,000 loan. This seems to be a little loan sharkish and should be illegal.

Lendly, LLC (“Lendly”) is in receipt of the consumer’s complaint. We take consumer complaints seriously and appreciate the opportunity to address their concerns.???

Please be advised that Lendly is not a lender but instead an authorized servicer for Capital Community Bank (“CCBank”). CCBank is a Utah state-chartered bank with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as its primary federal banking regulator. Consequently, CCBank is governed by both federal banking laws and the laws of the State of Utah. Additionally, to the extent this complaint questions the legality of a CCBank loan serviced by Lendly, be further advised that pursuant to 12 U.S.C. § 1831d, CCBank has the authority to export Utah’s permissible interest rates. Given the foregoing, CCBank is legally permitted to conduct business in the State of Florida, and there is no limitation imposed on the interest rates associated with a loan agreement with CCBank.

Finally, given the nature of the consumer’s remaining allegations, please be advised that privacy regulations prohibit Lendly from disclosing confidential consumer information to third parties without a specific, written authorization.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, please note that it is Lendly’s customary practice to reach out to the consumer or their representation at issue in an effort to resolve BBB concerns, and we have deemed this issue resolved.

We appreciate this matter being brought to our attention. Lendly invests heavily in maintaining consumer relations and considers consumer satisfaction a high priority.???
