      Contracted with **** Andruskewicz of ****** ****** Masonry to partially remove the b**** wall on my garage, repair the frame, rebuild the wall, acid wash the new b****, clean up the site, and remove the debris in 7-10 days for $5,500. **** started work on April 22, 2022, removed part of the wall, discovered additional damage, and increased the estimate to $6,750. I made an initial payment of $2,750 on April 23, 2022. ****** ****** didn't return to finish removing the damaged wall until May 16, 2022. At that time, **** told me he couldn't repair the frame and recommended a carpenter. I contacted the carpenter, had him fix the frame on May 20, 2022 for $830, and scheduled and paid for an inspection by the City of ********* on May 24, 2022 so reconstruction of the wall could commence right away. **** didn't return to work on the wall until June 20, 2022. He rebuilt the wall in 5 days with the last brick laid on June 24, 2022. What remained was for him to remove his equipment, acid wash the brick face to remove excess mortar, and remove all the work debris from the tear down and rebuild. He said he would do that on June 25, 2022. Because I was leaving town on that day, I paid him the balance of $4,000 for the job with his assurance that the cleanup would be completed the weekend of June 25, 2022. Big mistake! He didn't remove his equipment until August 9, 2022. The work debris was left in place. On August 12, 2022 I received a complaint from the City of ********* about the construction mess in the yard. I had several calls/texts with **** between August 12 and August 15 to find out when he would commit to the clean-up. He has refused to give me a date when he will complete the clean-up and has broken off communication saying that he is too busy to finish.

      I am responding to your message from two days ago.  I have not heard from the company and I am not satisfied with their efforts to resolve this matter because they have not made any effort to resolve the matter.  I am still waiting for them to complete their contract by cleaning up the construction residue and washing the new brick.

      Have they responded to you about the complaint?

      Also, the company is currently doing business as "****** ******".  There is nothing in their public communication that says, "A #1 Masonry".  Therefore, when I originally searched the BBB site for "****** ******", they didn't show up as having a negative rating because the rating was under "A #1 Masonry".  Please make sure that the BBB site returns complaints when inquiring about ****** ******.  Otherwise, the owner is avoiding inquiries by having changed the name under which he does business.
