Will not ever buy another car from them again. They were supposed to fix a crack in the hood of my car and they now refuse to do it. I’m very disappointed and would not recommend them to anyone. The owner is a complete piece of shit. There cars are junk and I would not recommend anyone buying a car from them.Review from Terri W

My 83 yr old dad purchased a vehicle from SVG Motors in Urbana in September. After I reviewed the paperwork, I noticed that he paid full price for the vehicle, was sold an expensive warranty, and then received an extremely low trade in for his vehicle that was in excellent condition. My dad was given $21,500 for a vehicle that is now on their lot for $33,000. I called the sales manager Brandon Lowe to discuss why my father received such a low trade in, plus paid full price for the vehicle, and then ended up getting the most expensive warranty. Brandon was very rude and had numerous excuses for why my dad received a low trade in. Then I later found out the warranty that my dad purchased was cancelled the same day as the sale and the money sent back to SVG. I called to let Brandon know but didn't receive a phone call back for days so I decided to go in person to the dealership. Once again, sales manager was rude with finger pointing and blaming everyone else about why my dad wasn't treated fairly. He asked me what we wanted done and I told him I just wanted a fair trade for my dad's vehicle which was $28,500. He agreed and we set a date to pick up a check. When I took my dad to the dealership to pick up the check Brandon informed me that he couldn't do what he had told us. Lots of excuses. We sat in his office for over an hour when he could have informed me over the phone but instead wasted our time driving to the dealership. I told him if he couldn't give us a good trade then we wanted to keep his old car and just pay for the one he purchased. He agreed and said he didn't have anyone there to draw up the papers and would call me the next day. Got a call two days later that once again, he couldn't do what he said because it was past 30 days and we would have to purchase the car at MSRP if we wanted to keep it. Total dishonesty and/or incompetent. This dealership takes advantage of people when they can. Buyer Beware! Stay away from this dealership!Review from Billie C

Purchased a 2016 Chevy Cruze LT1 from SVG Motors on 8/16/23 from Ken Bailey, no issue with him. *Drove out of the dealership parking lot, it was raining, the blades flew off. *Later on during that week, tire pressure lights for both of the right side wheels came on, I was putting air in the tires multiple times a week at $2 a pop. *8/26/23 The car would not start, I got a jump, went to the store, came out 20 minutes later, and the battery was dead again. *The battery was tested at Auto Zone, battery could not hold a charge, bought a new battery. For the next few weeks, I was putting air in the tires every other day. *Took car in, tires were checked, and they assumed it was a bad tire sensor and I think I was told they replaced them. PSI lights cam back on. *Week of 9/24/23, the indicator light showing "A/C is turning off" due to engine overheating came on at least two times that week. *9/29/23 Car overheated and all the warning lights came on, the car was smoking. car was towed to the dealer about 7:30am, dealer was not open, but I did leave a VM to inform them why the car was there, I did not receive a call from them, so I called the about 10am, and I was told by a Chris very rude, that he didn't call because he didn't know who's car or why it was there as if it didn't have a VIN# or plate, they have had the car since. *Multiple calls were made, no one answered the phone there ever. The two or three times we have talked to someone, we were lied to about the status of the car or we were told some would call us back, they didn't. We were told the car would be ready on 10/11, 10/12, 10/13, it wasn't. *10/14 Went to the dealer to inquire about the car, I cursed and the manager tried to weaponize Beavercreek police against me because that is the threat that is used with people of color and stood up in a threatening manner and told me that I wasn't a man for cursing at him, his feelings got hurt. He told me I should have bought the extended warranty. Zero stars!SVG Motors Dayton Response

We are sorry to hear about your experiences with SVG Motors and the issues with your 2016 Chevy Cruze LT1. It sounds like you've had a series of frustrating problems and difficulties with both the car and the dealership.
We also apologize for the discomfort caused during the interaction and understand your frustration with the manager's response and the overall experience. We regret if there was a perception that the call to the police was related to skin color. In today's world, ensuring safety is a priority for all individuals, and we take this responsibility seriously. Our dealerships have, on previous occasions, needed to involve authorities for various situations, irrespective of individuals' skin color.
It is important for SVG MOTORS to handle customer concerns with professionalism and empathy, regardless of the circumstances. We appreciate your feedback and will use this complaint as a learning tool to improve how our sales and service teams handle similar situations and we will strive to improve our service to ensure a better experience for all customers. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.Review from Jasmyne L

I have called multiple times to cancel my GAP insurance as the vehicle is totaled. I left multiple voicemails with the finance department over the past weeks. I have been placed on hold then no one returns to the call.Review from Kelly H

I accidentally clicked on a star, but I wouldn't give it half a star. I try not to be a negative person. The young lady who I have been dealing with is actually a VERY nice person, but I feel like I was mis-lead to sign for a car that the dealership was trying to off-load. I know for a fact it has been there at least since 8/5 & I signed for it 9/20... I was presented with a paper that said "amount owed" was $18,000 on a $14,000 car so I was pretty happy with that since I've been working hard to rebuild my credit & have been a faithful customer of the finance company for 5+ yrs. NEVER missed a payment or was ever late. Then I get a letter from the finance company saying that the dealership (SVG) omitted something & that the actual amount I owe is THIRTY SIX THOUSAND dollars on a $14000 car. I was devastated. Buyer beware.....do the math before you sign ANYTHING from SVGReview from Karla T

After reading some of these reviews, I’m glad I got on the BBB website and read about SVG! It doesn’t sound like this is a very competent dealership, especially in Beavercreek, Ohio. I get the feeling that they don’t care about their customers or what their customers have been through. Thank you BBB!Review from L. W.

My family and I purchased a dodge grand caravan at the Beavercreek location and at first we were excited until suddenly 2 months after we got it in 2021 I was driving home from work and everything went black the lights were going crazy so I was able to pull over and got a tow to them and they said it was the battery! The second time the same thing occurred while driving everything going crazy on my van ! I got it towed yet again this was about a year after the battery they said it was the alternator so I got it replaced by someone I trust and I didn’t go through them! The third time was just short of a year and it was by yet the scariest driving experience I have ever been through going down 35 east 75 mph me and my 2 kids under 5 were driving and again it went crazy and everything went off going 20 mph now Iam trying to get to the right hand side while semis and other cars are passing not knowing what’s going on the police were dispatched and thank god we we were okay! I have never had a car that made me fear for me and my kids life’s ! Got it towed again finally they are saying it’s electrical problem! They won’t take any accountability for this because now that they misdiagnosed it twice I am screwed because I have no warranty! The way they have handled this makes me know they don’t care about others and there safety on the road! I am currently getting it checked out by someone i trust! I feel like that should have to have some accountability on this circumstance and will be per suing further action against svg motors for the mistreatment of clients ! I talked to the manager Marty and he ia very incompetent he’s telling me he’s only been there 2 months but he feels that they are not accountable ! He ask so said what if it’s the alternator ? They might have done something wrong ! But you just told me it’s electrical! So which is it there’s ways to treat did you not do your job fully! Do not trust this place we could have easily had a fatal accident!SVG Motors Dayton Response

The customer bought a 2012 dodge caravan with high mileage in 2021 from the SVG Beavercreek location.
Our skilled technicians have dedicated their best efforts to diagnose any potential problems with the customer’s vehicle. We strive to maintain the highest standards of service and care, and we have exhaustively explored all possibilities to identify and address any issues.
As a gesture of goodwill, we have replaced the customer vehicle's battery at no charge, and we've decided to waive the diagnostic fee as well.
After thorough examination, our technicians unfortunately couldn't identify the specific issue that led to the problem the customer was experiencing.
We also recommended that the customer take the vehicle to a Dodge dealership for further evaluation. Dodge dealerships have specialized knowledge and tools that can assist in pinpointing the problem accurately.
Should the customer choose to visit the dealership, we will encourage the customer to share any information about the diagnostic test we performed, as it may help them in their evaluation process.Customer Response

Well I personally don’t think you have done your job effectively and put my kids lives at danger and my life this has been a problem two times in the past and you said it was the battery then the alternator do you think that’s diagnosing it efficiently? I do not ! The third time now it’s electrical, the van is now being checked by a good mechanic and even though you put in a new battery in for free like your doing a favor ! What a joke because that’s your quick fix every time when there is obviously a problem and you can’t fix it efficiently ! The mechanic It is now at states that everything was loose so yet again you didn’t do your job correctly ! So thanks for the new battery you didn’t put in properly the battery cables were loose and the battery hold down wasn’t even installed ! Yet again poor job done by your company!Customer Response

Even though the vehicle was a 2012, it was new to us and it had a warranty with it! Does that mean you can misdiagnose a vehicle until it is out of warranty and then pass the buck to someone else? Not your problem anymore? Your “skilled” technicians should have referred us to a Dodge dealership prior to the warranty going out if they couldn’t figure out what it was You now referred us now to a Dodge dealership, but you failed to mention that we would have to be liable for all costs involved. This is not right! As I mentioned previously, my family was at risk as the vehicle stopped suddenly on the highway! My five-year-old was crying in his car seat because he could sense the fear that I had as I was trying to pull off the roadway. I have found your dealership to be apathetic to what my family has been through with this vehicle! The manager named Marty at the Beavercreek SVG commented that he only started there two months ago, and he wasn’t here when all of this happened. He could care less, and that was the attitude he gave us. The first mistake we ever did was not checking reviews on here prior to going to their dealership. The second mistake was going to the dealership and purchasing this lemon. I would not recommend SVG to anyone!Review from MARCUS W

I purchased a Tahoe Vin#(*****************) 4 hours away from my home in October of 2022. As of 3/17/23 I still haven’t received my running boards , illuminated Chevy emblem for the grille, and the side mirror illuminating lights. I contacted salesman on 3/15/23 who said he would get back with me on 3/18/23. It shouldn’t take this long for items that had been paid for with the purchased of the vehicle. Is there a way to see if these were ever shipped? Is there a way that the Chevy dealership closer to me can install them free of charge instead of me having to drive four hours one way back to the dealership?Review from Shelby S

Wow, where do I begin? The basic facts are, they sold us an unsafe vehicle and broke the law by not disclosing major damage to the frame. We recently purchased a 2008 Chevy Silverado from this location. The buying process was a little sketchy to begin with. They pushed a $3000 after market warranty, hard. We noticed what looked like a small oil leak and pointed it out. They said it is sold as is and to just wait a few days and take it somewhere to get fixed. We took it to a mechanic to get a once over after we bought it and they found massive damage to the frame. I’m talking a HOLE and a crack running nearly the length of the frame. We were told that the vehicle was not safe to drive, especially with our toddler in tow. If Ohio required safety inspections this truck would have failed. Oh and the minor oil leak was multiple significant leaks that had been half fixed. There was work done right next to the damaged frame, so they were 100% aware of the damage. Ohio does not have a lemon law for used vehicles, but it is illegal to sell a vehicle without disclosing known damage to the frame. Now I will say they did refund our money and take the truck back, but they 1000% intended to sell this vehicle for more than it was worth knowing full well that it was not fit for sale. They just got caught too quickly to blame it on the customer (as I have read in many other reviews). And, pretty much the moment the paperwork to return the truck was done they had already listed it for sale again. This time they at least disclosed the hole in the frame (none of the other damage). I would absolutely never recommend this place to anyone. Since starting this journey I have had people tell me so many horror stories about this dealership and company as a whole. The only positive I have for this encounter is that we did not have to pursue legal resources to get our money back, but I have heard many instances where that was not the case. 0/10Review from Anthony V

I have only owned this 4 months. I did not even have it a month, and the wheel bearings went out on both front sides. They would not fix it because the car was inspected. I now have the problem with my transmission going out. I purchased a warranty, but they somehow have voided any coverage. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
