The Business put Gutters on my Home in October of 2021. Before the process, I told the company representative that I wanted to speak the installer prior to job start and get a quote on 5" versus 6" gutters. Neither happened. One day the company sowed up and started taking off my original gutters. I was at work. When my wife woke up to the noise and came outside they had started the job of removing my gutters that were 5" gutters. By the time my wife reached me at work and I got ahold of Patriots contact person I was working with, the job could not be stopped. We could communicate very little with the installer because of his understanding of English. They continued while I reached the sales person and he assured me the 6" gutters would be at 5" cost. I let it continue. During the job my wife noticed the gutters were very crooked going on, I contacted Patriot again so they could communicate with the installers, They fixed the crooked gutters. When the job was completed, I noticed several issues. The corners of the gutters where done sloppy and several downspouts had problems. When I tried to address the installers, they did not understand me again. Since that time, 2 of my down spouts have fallen off, the corners are leaking and water is coming down between the gutters and facia boards. I have made several attempts to get an installer out the I can speak to, Patriot refused saying this company would fix the work. The owner has never came out and looked at the job. I have addressed with by email, text and phone call to get someone out. All I have got is, we will be out this week and I hear from no one. No payment has been made, no bill has been sent and no quote has ever been given to me on the gutters. I have documentation of all text threads, letters and pictures. Letter and Pictures attached. The also damaged Nite light canisters (outside lighting) that I had to have replaced. Cost $250Business response

I understand the frustration in having a project not completed to the level you feel it should be. This project was started on a day the the homeowner did not initially plan on, we did this because of the constant set back of material. As soon as we were able to obtain the material we wanted to get the job done for the customer. I apologized to the home owner face to face. I know in the initial complaint he had stated that I have never been to his property which in fact I have met with him three times and walked the property with him on the initial inspection, the completion of the roof, and the day he was unhappy with the gutter install. I was called by the home owners wife, she was extremally unhappy and she made it very clear on the phone. I got into my vehicle and immediately meet the home owner at the house and asked how i could fix the issues. The home owner stated that he could not speak to the installer and was unhappy with the work. I only speak English and I had no issues communicated with our installer, the home owner wanted the gutters adjusted. I passed that along and the gutters were adjusted multiple times. The next day I sent our installers back to the job site to finish. I then received a phone call from my installer who was scared and didn't know what to do. He stated the homeowner yelled at him and kicked him off of his property threatening to call the police on him. I called the home owner and he said that the installers cant understand him and he needs someone who speaks better English to finish his job. So I asked the homeowner if he kicked him off of his property because he didn't speak good enough English for him and he stated yes. The project was unable to be finished which I believe was misrepresented in the photos as sloppy work. We also told the homeowner we would not run a 120v electrical line back in his gutters for his up lighting on his house. The electric for the up lighting was improperly installed the first time and per code we can not run live electric in the gutters. My company made another attempt two weeks ago to repair the gutters, my self and my installer showed up on the day and rang the doorbell and knocked as we seen someone in the house with no answer. The homeowner was never charged for the gutters because he was unhappy and I would not charge him until the issues were fixed. I have had to cover the cost of materials and labor for this job. We have made multiple attempts to fix what the homeowner believes is poor work, we have been unable to finish the initial work because our installer was asked to leave the property. Without the installer being able to fix the issues the homeowner has I don't know how to move forward with this complaint.
