In regard to our initial phone conversation with Buckeye Heating & Air, they were advised that we were merely shooting from the hip on guessing the cost of their repair over the telephone which is why we offer our FREE inspection for accuracy. Upon our actual accurate inspection of their 2014 Chevy Express 2500 it was determined that in conjunction with the rebuild of their 6 speed transmission they also needed a new electronic techem, special programming, a torque converter and all 3 trans cooler lines. I called them with the results of the diagnosis informing them of all that needed replaced and rebuilt on 2/23/2023 @ 10:25 am and they authorized the amount of $3788.11 + tax, using his birthdate as an authorization and the PO#. There were no repairs done or parts ordered until we received the authorization from them. The 3 trans cooler lines were ordered from a chevy dealer which added to their wait time.
I am confident that in their business that 100% accuracy both diagnosing a heating and air issue and a firm price over the telephone can not be concrete as well, and that they must make a personal visit for accuracy.
We are not the manufacturer of their vehicle. All replacement parts must be built to the exact original specs of the OEM parts. Yes, General Motors is having a nationwide failure rate that is alarming for that particular model transmission. A GM technical service bulletin is an acknowledgement that they are having a widespread issue with a particular product with info on possible fix’s.
We firmly stand by our Warranty which is specified on the back of their invoice, their receipt.
Our professionals did not overlook any aspect of their repair process.
Both parts that were replaced under warranty this week were actual General Motors parts and were replaced free - at no cost to them.
We have 100% fullfilled our obligations which we have done for over half a century.
We wish them the best.

Brownies it! Shops responds to customer complaints because we care about our customers; past, current and future. Brownies does care about making money.
All automotive shops much like heating and air have to make money in order to fix peoples vehicles. If we don’t make money, everyone would have broken down vehicles. Most people understand this.
We do take responsibility for any breakdowns in communication as this customer clearly does not understand what happened to his vehicle while it was in our possession. The new, but defective torque converter was the only thing wrong with the transmission after we rebuilt the transmission. This was the cause of the time delay. The transmission was not overfilled. It spilled during the filling process. This was all explained to the customer, but communication does go both ways. Distrust ensues when communication breaks down. This does not correlate to the notions levied against our business in this complaint, but it is understandable after any communication breakdown. We will continue to strive for great customer relations even though that ship has clearly sailed in this situation.
Respectfully submitted,
