            Walking around the store today with my infant son and his diaper bag containing important things like diapers, wipes, and other things parents need to bring when out with a baby (scary right?). I was stopped by an employee who asked to take the diaper bag because the owners don't want people with bags in the store. I said we would just leave because the rule and the request were ridiculous. As we were leaving the owner was behind the counter telling the employee who requested our bag that "if we didn't like it we could leave." The Delaware Antique Mall just lost a bunch of customers (me and my family). Reading other reviews the rude and poor behavior I experienced today is not an isolated incident. I'm sure this store has lost more money offending customers with the ridiculous anti-theft rules (no bags) than the rules have actually saved them.

            Hello, Our no bag, tote etc policy is posted on our door. You did not talk to the owner as I am the owner and due to surgery I was not in my store. I am sorry you felt attacked but we have rules in place for many reasons. The number one reason is customers break things by mistake with large totes, bags, etc. most people are happy to give up their bag so they can shop hands free. I will speak to my employees about the proper way to handle a response. You could have left the diaper bag in the car because there is no place in the store to change a diaper.
