We contacted Spiffy Cleaning Services and scheduled a deep cleaning that included a microwave and oven clean. The overall package totaled $497 and anticipated at least 2 cleaners to provide the services requested over a ~ 4 hour period. Upon arrival, only 1 cleaner arrived and was dropped off at 11:18am. They had minimal supplies to perform a thorough deep clean, which is what we paid for. The car that dropped them off left, so what they had with them was it. I was able to see this on our cameras. I was given no notice that only 1 cleaner would be showing up, so I contacted the company. They said that the 2nd cleaner was sick and wouldn't be able to assist in the cleaning. $495 for 1 cleaner for 4 hours is completely ridiculous, and not the product that was advertised. I gave them the benefit of doubt before completely going ballistic, and decided I would wait and do a walkthrough after the 1 cleaner left. The blame here is solely on the company, Spiffy. The cleaner did a great job given the circumstances, and I gave her a nice tip. But, the job was seriously under performed and only 50% of the work was truly accomplished. To charge me $495 for 1 cleaner is absolutely egregious. There was dust and debris all over that would have been cleaned with the manpower of 2 people. A dead ladybug on the window sill, stairs weren't vacuumed, mud room untouched, game-room glossed over, sticky spots left. Smudges on TV and mirrors remained, crumbs on the rug, bathroom barely cleaned downstairs, sink not cleaned. I sent 50+ pictures and 8 videos outlining the how the ball was truly dropped. I contacted Spiffy with the photos, they apologized and said let us review. The next email came the day after and said they would give us 10% off the total, or $101 credit towards our next service. I laughed out loud, that's not even close to what I expected. Well below fair and I felt ripped off. I contacted our bank and filed a claim for a partial dispute ($247) - 50% of the total.
