Absolutely awful! Business office has no idea how to handle insurance policies appropriately. Manager, ******* is a joke, can’t make any decisions on her own and doesn’t even have her college degree. ***** in the office doesn’t respond and very unprofessional, I’m guessing she is getting her guidance from her simple minded manager *******.

Spent 2 1/2 hours doing an intake assessment before asking why there. Then was advised they don't handle in-patient opiate withdrawal even though their web site says so, a social worker gave us their name and the pain clinic that was prescribing the opiates referred us to Columbus Springs. If they don't handle opiate withdrawal, their website shouldn't say it does. Before wasting hours on a ridiculously long intake assessment they should first ask "what brings you here". WAY BEYOND DISAPPOINTED....REALLY ANNOYED THEY WASTED HOURS and although they advertise they treat opiate withdrawal they may waste hours of your time when you could be at a facility that actually wants to treat you. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!

I know this is not a BBB-Accredited business, and now I know that is with good reason. I took my son there on a Saturday to seek resources for therapy, outpatient only, and he was forced to stay. The option given to him/us was to admit himself as a 20-year-old in distress, or be "pink-slipped." After 5.5 hours of explaining that we had come there to seek guidance for therapy as he was to start a new job Monday as well as classes that began Monday, the complete lack of empathy was unimaginable. I was there as his safe person, assured them I would take responsibility for him and offered to sign legal paperwork, but it wasn't an option. This was trauma on top of trauma. I spoke with some attorneys in the days following who advised that he needed to stay calm and play by their rules or they would still pink-slip him, and because of our antiquated mental health laws in OH they could do it. Review, after review, after review show that they are for-profit and will take any and every opportunity to admit so they get paid. They extend stays as long as they get insurance approval. This is why people who need help, won't seek help. Our system is broken and places like Columbus Springs takes full advantage of that while increasing the anxiety that one seeks treatment for.

The psych **** should be brought to Justice. Absolutely terrible treatment of patients, multiple HIPPA breaches of information, evidence of illegal data blocking, illegal violations of patient rights, and overall lack of professionalism and medical ethics. It's an absolute shame and disgrace for a private company to treat people so poorly, especially those with mental health issues trying to get the treatment they need to live healthy lives. BBB should investigate this company and reevaluate their rating. Someone needs to do something about this facility so their mistreatment and resulting lasting trauma does not continue to impact ****** vulnerable population.
