    On 6/19/2023, my husband and I signed a contract and paid $2800 (66% ) with Above All Contractors, LLC, to add an addition to our outside deck. The work was scheduled to begin on 7/15/2023. However, on 6/28/2023, Glenn L*****, lead contractor for Above All, arrived at our home unannounced. Although my husband just had a medical procedure, he went to the door to see the nature of Mr. L*****'s unexpected visit. Mr. L***** can be heard on my ring security stating that he stopped by to take measurements. Since my husband was on a telephone call, he instructed me to go outside to ascertain the reason for Mr. L*****'s unannounced visit. Once I went outside, I noticed that Mr. L***** also had a worker with him that had a pole digger and other tools. I immediately advise Mr. L***** said that his visit was unexpected. Mr. L***** stated that due to finishing another job that was nearby, he stated that he came to get  measurements so that he could go buy some materials and store all the materials under my deck. I told Mr. L***** that this was not discussed in our contract and unacceptable due to my spouse not being well. At this time, it was obvious that Mr. L***** was getting agitated. I proceeded with the conversation and asked for a copy of the sketch. Mr. L***** became aggressive and rude and TOLD me that I did not need a copy of the sketch. I told him that since I live in a community that has an HOA, I wanted to get a visual look of the deck extension. Mr. L***** was noticeably irritated and got extremely loud and spoke to me in unprofessional demeaning tone that we should find someone else to do the work and that he would refund our money and stormed off. However, he did not mention that he would deduct $450 from our deposit. Which is the reason that I am seeking assistance from the BBB. When we contact Above All to question the deduction, my husband was advise that the reason was to compensate Glenn for one half day of work and his time although no work was completed.

    Signed and dated contest. 3 dates delayed after that.contractor signed contract for 3 week project finished date. Took 3.5 months. Didn’t show up for work day after day. Never put up barriers so drywall dust affected my hot water heater. Which means more money out of my pocket. No accountability. No integrity. Left entire room with trash, debris, drywall dust everywhere. On top of all that and cashing all checks had the nerve to post videos of my home with me in it on social media. I really feel sorry for anyone that hired the company for anything. I interviewed this guy 2times. Thought I asked all the right questions. What I should have asked was. Do you have integrity? Do you know what that means. There was little to no communication. Beware.. Beware. I have sooo many pictures to share

    It’s unfortunate Mrs **** feels this way, we signed her contract and gave her a 6-8 week window of completion, from the start day. We we’re approximately 5 days late. When we took the job we knew we were working on a project someone else had tried to do themselves and failed. Once we were able to start trying to fix the framing we realized we had to completely remove it and start from scratch, I too have pictures (we charged nothing extra), due to the extra work and labor costs we didn’t leave the basement in broom clean condition daily, as we were spending our labor hours catching up on time from having to rebuild the walls, there were days we weren’t present allowing mud to dry , paint, and the concrete to dry when we plumbed a new bathroom in the basement. Daily Mrs **** went to our contractor asking for extras and she was accommodated 80% of the time for no charge. The water heater was in the room we were drywalling and we did our best to keep dust to a minimum. Several times during the renovation we were told that the remodel looked “great”. Mrs **** after the job was finished and she produced nothing on a checkout list and wrote a check for the finished work. Additionally , as a business we rely on pictures of our work to promote our business, which is how she found us, and we took our pictures with her present. Our original video accidentally showed approximately 2 seconds of the back of her and her husband as they were inspecting the job which we removed as soon as we were asked. Mrs **** continued to harass my contractor with nasty texts after the job, and when I the business owner reached out to her, she didn’t respond and not one time has contacted me to figure out what her issue was with the job. Instead she has come onto a second avenue to slander my company. The entire process we worked with a almost impossible budget (less than 20k for a basement remodel including plumbing in a full bathroom and adding a pantry) and other contractors wouldn’t touch it. We did our absolute best within her budget because we strive to help our neighbors / customers with their projects and we did everything we could with her small budget with several free extras. The basement looks beautiful, it was left in better than broom clean condition as we promised. My company does it’s best to give customers their vision and we do exceptional work, it’s unfortunate when we encounter customers who don’t value the quality of our services. I’m also sure Mrs **** has plenty of pictures of a mess whilst my contractor and his employee were working because remodeling is messy. Our company can also provide references from many other customers who absolutely love us and our work.
