We purchased my adult granddaughter wedding dress & veil. We had a fitting on December 28th, 2021 & the woman doing alterations actually took a hard fall yet continued appointment with ****** ****** She tired everything on at the time of appointment. So we all could see finished look! Prior to last appointment, pick up in July 2022. Unfortunately the veil was missing!!!Business response

The image submitted is the document showing the seamstress marked the veil was delivered at the alterations appointment on 12-28-21. The bride did try everything on together, as is customary for a bride to do. The veil was then given to the bride, who signed off on it as you can see on the document submitted. The seamstress can never keep a separate piece that she is not sewing on, as she cannot be responsible for items that she is not sewing. This piece of paper is proof of delivery and it is our method of keeping careful track of everything. The veil simply was not left in the store as we don’t have veils floating around without precise tags, or are a part of our weekly inventory count.
nonetheless, when ****** realized the week of the wedding that she could not find her veil, we kindly let her borrow our floor sample which was in excellent condition, to use for her wedding day. She did return it the day after the wedding, as was agreed-upon. But this gave her the opportunity to wear the veil that completed her ensemble perfectly. We cannot take responsibility for a lost veil, as it is not lost here. We feel we resolved this in a very pleasing manner, and cannot refund the veil purchase price.
