About 2 years ago I called Reliant to come fixe my AC because the condenser blew. They came out and fixed it, it never really worked that great I just thought it was because my house was too big to keep cool. Well, in January 2022 it started making a loud noise. So I called them again, I was at school so told them I wouldn't be home, she said it was fine they would go look at it and give me a call. I got home after class and it was still making that noise so I figured they didn't make it out. I noticed when I turned it to EM heat that it stopped, so I just left it on the whole winter. Well a week ago temperatures were hot and the air was not blowing out cold air. So we called someone else this time and they wanted to know what was all replaced so I called reliant and the lady told me my account was froze because I never paid them for when they fixed my heat, but they never even fixed, or even called me to let me know they did anything. They wouldn't tell me what they fixed a couple years ago even though I had paid them over 1000 dollars for fixing the AC. So the new guy we called came out today said the valve needed replaced. He came out today June 23rd, 2022. Was taking things apart and draining the coolant. There was over 4lbs too much coolant that reliant put in. Then he got in the AC to replace the valve and noticed they put a part in backwards. I tried calling reliant and the receptionist was rude I asked to speak with a manager, she said she will have someone call me and then hung up on me. A couple hours later the manager called me. He was just as rude and said that he cant tell that anything was put in backwards because he wasn't here. When i mentioned the lady hanging up on me he argued that she did not, but she did. He asked what I wanted, I said I wanted them to pay for me having to spend another 1000 on my AC because they messed up. he then said he wasn't and then hung up on me as well. The new guy said he will put in writing what all he found wrong.Business response

We sent a Technician in response to a call on 5/29/20. Scope of Work: Replace compressor both indoor and outdoor TXV's, contactor, dryer and capacitor.
Invoice was for $926.44 - which the customer did pay.
On 1/7/22 - she called for another Service Call. The Technician Found HP fan shroud to be warped causing intermittent contact with condenser fan blade. Picked up part from shop and replaced. Invoice for $315.91 - was NOT paid
It is important to note: the System is older and has many issues. The First and Second Service calls are completely unrelated problems.
It would be like taking your car to a mechanic for an engine problem. Then taking it to another mechanic 2 years later for a transmission problem - yet expecting the first mechanic to reimburse you for an unrelated expense.
Our Office staff did NOT hang up on the customer. We have 2 eyewitnesses to confirm. there was a bad connection - from her cell to our landline - and we thought she hung up on us.
She never did pay the bill for $315.91 - Therefore her account was frozen.
We work very hard to ensure our customers are taken good care of. It is unfortunate that this customer does not understand our core values and how this business operates.
