On January 10, 2022 I paid Bush Heating $6000 more than half of a down payment to install ductwork and a furnace in my home. He quoted me $12k. He said he would get me a contract the next day which I still havent received. I wanted heat in my sunroom and told him I was putting in a man door so that could happen. They marked the registers and I had the Amish cut them out. He said he would deduct a couple thousand if they didnt have to do that. I contacted him that they were done in January. Originally he said the furnace would go near the back of my basement. They were to come a couple times to start installing the propane lines and always cancelled. When they came back they moved the location of the furnace to in front of the man-door. Said I needed to cut the door off because thats where the furnace and ductwork was going. Im not cutting an insulated door. Then said I needed to have it open the other way into the sunroom crawl space. His techs brought in the furnace and placed it by the door and put a bunch of other stuff inside the door. He claims I never told him about the door which I certainly did. I told his techs I would have the door so it can be taken down. The pins are out. I have not physically taken it down until I know they are coming because of the cold air. I have texted him numerous times asking when he was coming to install my furnace with no response! I didnt get any response until a complaint went in as a review. I wish I had all the texts from the beginning. He said he took pics of the mess. My basement is my storage area and is not the most organized. If he didnt want to install the furnace then he should have never agreed to do it!! My house is 46 degrees right now. He knows he has my money and theres nothing I can do. By the way when he saw the review he said I better take it down. He would come get his stuff and if I didnt I probably wouldnt get a refund. All I want is my furnace installed so I dont have to deal with him anymore!

As a business within a small community, we take pride in conducting ourselves fairly and honestly. It is disheartening to read the exaggerated complaint submitted, as it contains information and details that are unfactual and untrue.  A deposit of $6,000 was made by the homeowner, with a remaining balance due of $6,200 per the estimate (contract) which was entered into our accounting software and presented to the customer in January 2022.  We communicated continually with the homeowner, always notifying her if we were running behind schedule at another job or if we needed to reschedule for a specific day due to scheduling conflicts never canceling without proper notice and agreement from the homeowner.

In the middle of January 2022, the homeowner asked to have an alternative source (Amish individuals) cut the holes for the registers which would be installed.  We agreed that it could be a cost-savings, but never for the thousands of dollars which is mentioned within the complaint submitted, this is an unrealistic and untruthful statement.  We stated that a few hundred dollars ($400 to be specific) could be saved in labor/time if our company were to not conduct that aspect of the job.

At our business, we do numerous new construction jobs and layouts (this was not new construction but essentially was the same work as one) and we always put special detail into the location of ******************* to utilize the space available as well as bring the most efficiently run equipment into a customers home or business.  The man door, which the homeowner referred to, was not in place at the time of the initial layout and no discussion was had with our company as to whether it would interfere with the **** system which would be installed.  Due to the location of the current plumbing within the home, there was only one specific location to set a furnace and run ductwork properly, making it impossible to do so with a newly cut man door now in the way.  Over 15 hours of labor was put into the development of the homeowners ductwork at our shop, as well as over 4 hours of labor to spot and **** the location of the register holes, which would later be cut by an alternative source.  In a business, time and labor are never free,so those fees were incorporated and allotted for within the deposit which was collected, along with the cost of the equipment itself which is currently in the homeowners possession.  On February 3,2022, we informed the homeowner that the only way the equipment could still be installed properly would be if the man door was flipped to open in the opposite direction.  We asked the homeowner if she could find someone to do this task and her response was Ill see if I can find someone who can do it.  This was the last correspondence we had from the homeowner, never informing our company that the work was done and we could proceed, until October 2022 when we received a demanding and threatening message.

All labor and equipment received up until this point has been paid for by the homeowner.  All labor that would be incurred and equipment that would be utilized or installed from this point on would be at additional fees above the $6,000 received by our business.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

      Regards,

      *****************************

I want the contract sent and emailed to me. It might be in their system but I never got a copy by email or by mail. I want to know a week ahead when they will be coming to complete the installation of my furnace as I will need to be off of work.
