I have recently contacted the owner of HTF Auction Services, LLC, **** ***** in regards to the 40' storage container I have rented since November, 2019 through present, November, 2021. I've recently accessed the container after being stuck overseas through the COVID-19 pandemic. While my husband and I were overseas the container we were renting was moved without notice. And once opened it had boxes f*****, was soiled with mildew smells, the floor rotting, merchandise covered with mold. The container is completely full of personal items, and business merchandise for both me, and my husband's businesses. All of the merchandise was initially purchased for transport to West Africa, and or for specific customers. We had began renting/storing business merchandise, and supplies with **** ***** on his property in November, 2019. We have consistently paid $206.00, and have never been late/missed a payment. We rented a 40 foot cargo container, sealed, clean, and on a leveled graveled lot. I was informed the container had been moved last year when I messaged **** in reference to my return. I was given a new gate code for a different part of his property. All of the items I could visibly see, was either currently damp, or covered in mold from the floor up. Approximately 3-4 feet up the merchandise. The floors as we would move items in and out; were all covered, merchandise mostly packed and sealed in containers, in boxes, or has covered packing blankets. Nothing was directly on the floor of the container. -There are several other details/pics available..character limit- I was advised to contact Mr. ***** in writing. I did so via E-mail, and ultimately, with no attempt to remedy anything suggested. Instead, I was reminded we have no contract, and to leave with my property with in 30 days. I was advised by several legal sources we should attempt to work together, pull all merchandise, attempt to clean, and replace in clean container to further assessment.Customer response

Written notice I sent to the property owner/business owner.
To date, Mr. ***** has only ignored the issues. Allowing more time to go by without adequately giving the attention to mold growing in the container. All merchandise was photo documented upon entry to the container. While owners of the merchandise were overseas we were never notified this container has been moved. Therefore, we are unable to pinpoint when mold began growing, or why. We found obvious damage on the back of the container. We do not know the condition of any unsecured merchandise, and glass as well. However, the floor is rotting out in the front, and mold has been growing from the ground up.
