      Hi BBB tean, I’m the owner of ********** *********** ******* *** which is the owner of property at **** **** **, *********** ** *****, there is on-going conflicts on my construction with ********* ***** ***: Here is the contact info for it:? Robert M***** Contractor / Home Improvement ********* ***** ****** *** ###-###-#### I get quote for **** **** from ********* ***** ****** *** at July 15 2023, with a total amount of $61,879.10 for the rehab construction fees on this property. At that moment I already had another project **** ******** *** *********** ** ***** that working with Robert M*****. We were have a happy time at very beginning, he seems very professional and helpful. After the project **** ******** *** *********** ** ***** close to done, I find out he is very impatient to and not willing to communicate curing the project processes, I never get the chance to choose what materials I should use for the project and he always pushes me to pay otherwise he will STOP all the work. After that **** ******** project is done, I find out, there are many places went wrong (e.g. broken outlets, broken window curtain, cheap counter top used which he charged me more than $2,200, no clean on the project after done, always extra charge when project is going etc.), I find out the work is not as good as the price I pay him, therefore, I loss trust on him and I request him to stop work more with me more closely on the project on **** **** **, ********** ** *****. For **** **** **, ********** ** *****, after he done floor and the painting, I saw bunch of defect on the floor and painting, and he is very impatient to answer my question and keep charge me more even when the project is on-going(Extra charges). After all of these, I felt I paid him a 30%+ industry standard price and the services he provided is not that good enough. So After he charges me for extra of $1,500 of bathroom structure Fix and $4,000 of BaseMent Structure Fix, I decided to ask him to STOP the work after these extra charge of FIX - (10-23 2023). At that moment, his total quote is the original $61,879 plus the $1,500 + $4,000 extra FIX. And I paid him $45,000 at that moment. After I ask him to STOP all the other work, he turns back to me to say I still owning him $6,222 and he had completed about $51,222. But I just don’t agree with that since the house is still in a very whacky state with tons of stuff needs to be done. Finally he said I have to pay him $4,700 more in 3 days otherwise he will put lien on me and the property or even take me to the court. I asked him many times if we have to Terminate the Original Contract, we have to inspection and audit everything together, but he is not going to corporate and communicate with me - (Said NO talk or going through all the finished items with me), at end I’m afraid the extra trouble he is going to put line on the property or other threaten is putting on me, so I decided pay him the $4,700 first at 10-26 2023 so the total amount I paid him is $49,700 at that moment, and go ahead to schedule Inspectors to get the inspection report - (Inspection Schedule normally takes 5 days ahead, he threaten and only give 3 days…).       This customer did not respond to text and his quote was very detailed in what work would be done and what material would be used regarding the property at **** ****** ***. As far as the property at **** the customer was charged accordingly for all work that was complete and everything was going as planned he had a designer who went over all material selections with him and gave the information to me. After I found out that This client was committing wire fraud and I told him that’s not a game I was willing to pay he became extremely combative and told me he wanted me to stop work immediately, according to my contract once we are told to stop work we are to stop work at that instance. After we stopped work he wanted to say that there were things not 100% complete and I made him aware that things were complete but some things need touched up once work is complete. I have discussed this exact matter with the lender that he had on the property and they understand my stance and agreed that the house was in much better shape than when we first began and also there were neighbors who emailed asking why the work has stooped when the house was making progress. This is the first client that I’ve ever come across who didn’t like that my estimates were detailed because if he wanted other things done I would have to charge him. It’s clearly stated in my estimate that they are just that quotes/estimates and in the contract it states that any work outside of the scope work will be an additional cost.  So no in this case there is no refund warranted or that should be expected.
