We originally replaced ** ******** Transmission in her 2019 Chev Impala in September of 2023.  This work was covered by an extended warranty company ***  At that time the vehicle had an engine misfire as well as some Emission codes.  These items were not covered by extended warranty.  We went over that with her and she declined the additional repairs to the vehicle.  In December of 2023 she was having a shuddering issue with what turnted out to be a torque converter issue, that was replaced under warranty she had with us.    Some time later, she had an issue with the vehicle and she was not local to our shop so she took it to a repair facility local to her.   They diagnosed her vehicle as having "metal" in the transmission.  We contacted the vendor the transmisison came from and they received pictures from the repair facility and denied the claim stating the cooler lines were leaking and the transmisison must have been run low on fluid and that would not be covered.  I explained to the customer, lets get the vehicle back here to Danco and we can get this corrected for her and we would make it right even though this was not covered by the warranty.  She brought the vehicle back here on a trailer.  We checked it out and found a broken transmission cooler line on top of the transmisison and all the fluid for the transmisison had leakied out.  We also supplied a picture of this to the customer.    There is no way this happened during the work that we perfomed or it would have never been able to leave the shop.  I am not sure if this occured at the the shop it was at previously or exactly how it happened but I told her we would do whatever necessary to repair transmission cooler line this at no cost to her.  We were able to repair the cooler line we checked the transmisison further to make sure all was good and we did not find any of this "metal in transmission" that the previous shop had said was there.  We filled the transmisison with fluid and drove the vehicle.  The transmission worked flawlessly, no issues at all but we still had this engine misfire that had been there since Sept of 23.  We let her know about the misfire, we found faulty spark plugs and one bad coil.  We told her we could discount this and repair for about 759 plus tax which would save her a couple hundred bucks.  She texted us back on May 10 and said OK, no thank you, we can get the misfire handled at home.  Next, we get a notice of complaint to  BBB stating she wants us to make her car payments and replace her transmission.

In an effort to go even past "the extra mile" which we feel we have done here, we would agree to replace the spark plugs and coil in this vehicle in an effort to remedy this engine misfire condition at no charge to *** ********.  After repairing the cooler line on the transmission, we found no additional issues but if any exist, we will handle that as well.  It is not by accident that we have an A+ BBB rating with 54 years in business.  We strive to take the best care of our customers and do everything in our power to make sure they have the best auto repair experience possible with our company.

I purchased A 2017 Chevy Cruze from RightWay Auto at 5221 Dixie Highway in Fairfield, Ohio on December 27, 2021. The vehicle had about 86k on the odometer. Firstly, it was filthy on the inside (loose tobacco in the footwells, gunk, food wrappers and other garbage throughout). I had the vehicle fully serviced on January 15; & everything seemed copasetic. I drove the vehicle approximately 2,000 miles over the span of 2.5 months, and it sat at Danco from mid April-August, after the engine abruptly cut off while I was driving...no warning lights, smells...nothing. I found out eventually that 2 of the 4 cylinders were shot (no compression), and the vehicle needed a new engine. The vehicle is barely 5 years old, and doesn't even have 100k on it. I purchased a warranty at the time of purchase from Assurant that included engine repairs. I filed my claim in early April. After having my vehicle towed to the Danco Repair Shop on RightWay's lot, it sat for nearly 4 months, as I consistently called to check on the status of the repair, and was given the runaround by **** at Danco. I finally called in early August to see if the vehicle was ready, and was informed that the engine replacement was complete and that the vehicle was repossessed, listed as a voluntary repossession. I did not know that information, until I called them. I never stated or intended to give back the vehicle. I paid a $1000 down payment, and made 2.5 payments for the 2.5 months the vehicle was operable. This situation has ruined my finances and credit, as I had to pay co-workers for rides, Ubers, grocery and other deliveries which are all upcharged. Money is already tight with inflation and lingering covid effects on the economy. I also have a 6 y/o son to provide for. Danco had my vehicle almost twice as long as I drove it, and never once were proactive in informing me of the vehicle status. Please help me to get my down payment back and to get the loan removed from my credit report.

In reading over customer's complaint, this has nothing to do with Danco as we are simply a repair facility and are totally un affiliated with Rightway Auto, other than they are next door and we share the building with them.  They are a totally separate business owned by an entirely different entity.  I would suggest that this customer contact his finance company if he has an issue with the downpayment that was made or anything involving the sale of the automobile or his credit situation. We have nothing to do with that.  We repaired the vehicle under his service contract and while the vehicle was here, the reposession company showed up with a repo order.  We are legally bound to surrender the vehicle to the finance company when this occurs.
