I purchased a vehicle and while still under warranty. Had transmission issues so I had my car towed from my home to car place and they sent my car to this business. While this place had my car for three weeks working on it, they left my car unlocked and when I got my car back my whole car had been gone through ( console, all compartments, trunk etc. ) They took alot of things and things that could not be replaced. I usually take important or valuable things out of my car before leaving it at repair shops but due to my car being towed while I was at work I did not get a chance. Local police department had the transmission place burn 3 weeks of footage from cameras and "conveniently" it had been recorded over. I also went to speak with the owner Tina who became extremely offensive in the case and did absolutely NOTHING. On top of that. I do believe the transmission was fixed but my car has a weird idle while in park that was not there prior and my car runs worse then before they worked on it. Absolutely will not recommend this place to anyone. RUDE, SCAM, AND THIEVES!Business response

First, I would like to convey that I am a minority business owner, I take my BBB rating very serious, and I take great pride in the fact that I have maintained an A+ rating with the BBB since September 21, 2016.
Next, I would submit that I am a third party to this incident, and I vehemently disagree with the assertions made in the complaint. I also disagree that my business is liable for her losses for the following reasons: Her vehicle was brought to my business on October 9, 2023, by the car lot where she purchased the vehicle from with a transmission problem. Her transmission was removed, completely rebuilt and put back in the vehicle and delivered back to the car lot on October 23,2023 with a 6-month warranty. See attached invoice. Therefore, my business did not have her vehicle for 3 weeks as she stated. Due to the fact that my business is one of the few around that rebuilds remanufactured transmissions, and the volume number of transmissions that my business does in a week, getting her vehicle back in 2 weeks was reasonable and timely.Next, I would submit that I have signs CLEARLY POSTED inside and outside of my business that CLEARLY STATE that my business is "not responsible for vehicles and/or contents left on premise.". See attached photographs of signs.
As for the police investigation of her missing items. I fully cooperated with the police. I would also point out that there are several businesses within the complex where my business is located. My business is the only business with cameras. Therefore, when an incident occurs within the complex, the police rely upon my camera system to investigates incidents. I did not set up the recording system on my cameras, a police detective did. (I will be happy to provide his name upon request). Therefore, her insinuations that myself, or one of my employees recorded over something has no merit.Moving on to her complaint about how her vehicle is running. She admits that her transmission is/was fixed. She complains about a "weird idle." Anyone in the automobile repair industry can attest that a transmission has nothing to do with how a vehicle idles. That sounds like an engine issue, but without running a diagnostic on the vehicle, I cannot say for sure what the problem is. I can say for certainty that her idle problem has nothing to do with the transmission that was replaced.
In conclusion, I would be in remiss if I did not point out her demeanor upon coming to my business. Instead of coming in to talk to me in a civil manner. She came storming in being loud, rude, disrespectful and obnoxious while I was helping a customer with small children. She stated that she took photographs of all her missing items that were in the vehicle before the vehicle was towed. With that said, one would have to assert that if she had time to take photographs of the missing items then she had time to take the items out of her vehicle.
It is unfortunate that this happened, if it even happened at all. I am confident that she is simply looking for someone to blame for her negligence and my business is not responsible for what took place. My business is run in a professional manner and my workers have dignity and integrity. They are paid well and don't have to steal trivial items out of vehicles.Thank you,

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ** ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.First, as stated above I never was able to get any of the Belongings out of the car because the car was towed from my home while I was at work I live over 45 minutes away from the repair facility. Once the car was received at the repair facility, they informed me that the car was indeed a transmission issue and it was being sent to the transmission shop that day from that day moving forward the transmission shophad my vehicle for 21 days. My car has two alarms on it. Why would you let a customers vehicle sit outside of your facility for 21 days and not lock it? Secondly, I called the owner. She was rude and she was uncooperative told me that when she got a chance that she would review footage couple days passed by and I decided to stop in there, I never made it through the front door as the owner was blocking the front door, holding onto a small child arm now if this was a customer that she is stating that I was ranting and raving in front of which is not true why would a customer allow you to grab their child’s arm while playing on their phone, it is clear they were not customers more than likely they were family or friends. Thirdly, I did some investigating and found out that the owner is completely rude to other people and that this isn’t the first time customers have had issues I will not recommend this place since they are the only transmission shop in the area which is untrue as well. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Also, it is a known fact that,A bolt may be somewhere that was not completely tightened down, or a motor mount could’ve been jostled in the process of the transmission removal, so yes, it may not be something with the transmission it could in fact be something with the engine, but it could be something that was done during the process of the transmission removal or the process of the new transmission being put back in. This is my third car that I have purchased from the car lot. I have never had issues this place is like family. My husband grew up with them. I am not satisfied with the response from the owner and if you can tell in her message She is rude.
Regards,
