On August 25, 2021, I had a locksmith replace three deadbolt locks at my home. The call was not an emergency, and I was quoted a price of $136.00 for parts and labor. When the installer ended the job, I was presented with an invoice for $682.00 because he also changed a doorknob. I complained that the invoice was well above the original price that was quoted, but had to pay since the work had been completed. Since the service call, I have contacted the company numerous times to request that the invoice be adjusted and was initially told that an investigation of the material costs would be initiated by a supervisor "in the back office" and a partial refund would be made available to me if there was a price discrepancy. I informed the company that the deadbolt locks sell for around $15.00 each at local hardware stores. I have been told multiple times that someone would investigate and "get back to me" but the issue has not been resolved. I was told that there is no physical mailing address nor chief executive officer of the company that I can speak with. I am requesting assistance with securing a billing adjustment as the price I was charged was astronomical and unreasonable for the service provided.
