Transaction date was 10/12/2022. This business deducted $124.71 from my account without consent. Charges were never discussed by the psychology practice nor was I contacted about my insurance coverage for the cost. I filed this charge as fraudulent in which my bank reversed the charge. They are saying I owe a $124.71 in which I do not according to the invoice. I was sent an invoice on 10/11/2022 for $0. I also have not received anything from my insurance company as to discussion with Capital Psychological. I do believe this a fraudulent practice as based on client reviews the billing manager ******* has been treating innocent people maliciously when they try to ask why they are being charged for services that should be billed through insurance. This practice should be shut down completely. I have never experienced such an unprofessional practice as this one. They are deleting reviews and scamming people when they have insurance!! We are human beings and we deserve to be treated as such.Business response

We would like to start out by saying we did not withdraw $124.71 from your account without consent. You signed the "New Client Consent to Treat and Policy Statement". You also filled out the billing information and credit card information form, which allows CPPS to withdraw funds for any clinical sessions that you owe money. Secondly, your insurance and your coverages are your responsibility to know what is covered and what is not covered because its your insurance not CPPS or anyone else's. Saying that, Capital Private Psychological Services did call your insurance company "***", and obtained your insurance coverages. Afterwards, we did call you to go over the coverages but YOUR VOICEMAIL WAS FULL, not allowing us to leave a message. Again, your insurance coverages are your coverages and you have the ability to call your insurance company yourself and obtain your coverages.
When we called and spoke with your insurance company(***) they told us that your $5000 deductible was not met for this year and only $1221 had been met. Because you have not met your deductible the insurance company will not pay for any claims because you are responsible for the first $5000 a year! When you called the office and spoke with Tracy, she also explained this too you. Because, you didn't meet your deductible you owe for that session. The cost of the session is $124.71 which we collected. There was not anything fraudulent because you signed the forms, saw Paige on October 11th, did not meet your deductible and we charged you the contractual agreement cost we have with ***. We also submitted your claim to your insurance company and the amount of $124.71 was applied to your deductible on November 9th.
Lastly, you never spoke once to Stanley, so accusing him and belittling him for your billing is not acceptable nor very mature. You are a grown adult and you should have called your insurance company yourself if you did not know your coverages. That is what every other adult in the world does. We call everyone's insurance company as a curtesy and call every client to let them know there benefit coverages. However if you cannot erase your own voicemail messages that's not our fault, that is YOURS!
