I paid Rob Mills $5,937.50 deposit to replace box gutters and paint my house on December 19, 2021. He was supposed to start the job in January 2022 and keeps making excuses. He refuses to pay me the deposit back despite not doing the work. He then said he would complete it January 2023 and has already said he can’t be there until mid-April 2023. I will be taking him to court.Business response

Customer received the money back I have broken my left foot and multiple places was having hard time finding people helping to finish the work and I was a couple houses behind on top of getting to the customer's house. I had planned on doing the work in April of 2023 when it would be sufficient to tear off all the Box cutters and to rebuild them c*** them sealed and then put new metal on properly like me and the homeowner had discussed I was extremely DE link went on the job but it was due to issues with my body not wanting to complete the job she received her payment back on the square debit card reader and everything should be resolvedCustomer response

Dawn MccombsI am rejecting the business response. I did not receive my deposit money back. I disputed it with my credit card company, buy it hasn’t been resolved yet. It takes 60 to 90 days and due to how long ago the charge was it is uncertain as to whether or not i will get my money back. What he is saying isn’t true and he knows this from his own communications with the credit card company.

I entered into a contract with Robert M**** on July 5, 2021 to remove my basement ceiling (drop ceiling) and replace with drywall. I paid a deposit of $1,300. I had contact with him several times and he told me that he was now working on a big job, but would do my job in January 2022. In January, I had some contact with him and he told me that he was injured but would able to do the job in a few weeks. Now he is not contacting me. He will not return my phone calls or texts.
