We paid $4000 to have a concrete pad installed and sealed in our backyard. The company said they had to wait six weeks to seal the concrete pad. The pad was installed on May 24, 2023 and could have been sealed July 5, 2023. It’s now August 20 and the pad has not been sealed. The company was contacted several times and they said they would seal the pad on August 20, 2023. The company was a no-show and when contacted they told us to do it ourselves.Business response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. My complaint is that we paid him in full prior to the completion of the concrete job. He never contacted us to finish the job. When we contacted him numerous times without results we became frustrated. He finally agreed to come out to seal the patio and we waited all day for him. I called him to see why he didn’t show up and he said he wasn’t coming until 6:30pm but said since we were upset to just do it ourselves. He was aware that my husband is 75, is disabled, on medication for heart issues, is awaiting a double knee replacement surgery, and has been diagnosed with cancer which weakens most of his activities. Basically, he was aware we wouldn’t be able to do it ourselves. Now we have to pay another contractor over $1000 to repair the botched sealant attempt that we did. We feel that we were mistreated in this job and are asking for $1000 to be returned to us to cover the expense we are incurring to have it fixed.
