I wish I had read the previous review before hiring him. We compared different construction companies before doing some major renovations to our interior and he seemed like the most knowledgeable and had good reviews on ****** **** so we went with him -- which we ended up regretting. He's a great small talker and will try to be all friendly and approachable but aside from that, he's very unreliable, doesn't show up, doesn't communicate about when he's going to show up, and completely overestimates his own skills. Instead of this being a 2-3 week project like he told us, it ended up being 8 weeks. Every week, he would tell us that he only needed a couple more days to finish everything up. Most days of the week he didn't even show up at all despite telling us he'd be there in the morning, and if someone did show up, it would be his employees without him so that he couldn't even supervise their work.They didn't cover our hardwood floors while demoing walls and ceilings, even after I repeatedly asked them to. They also built crooked walls and ceiling headers and didn't even come talk to us about it until we noticed it ourselves. They then tried to fix those major issues on what was supposed to be the very last day (one of many) and struggled to build a straight wall even though they had weeks to find a solution. Instead of taking responsibility, ****** made up excuses every time and often tried to put it as if we as non-professionals just didn't understand the problem. It would have been totally fine if he had addressed those issues with us openly but instead, he didn't say anything and hoped that we wouldn't notice. He also did a terrible job painting and doing our baseboards. We asked him to fix them but even after his second attempt, they were in an unacceptable state so we decided to just do them ourselves. A week after his last day (on which we paid him), one of his employees showed up at our door saying that he still hasn't been paid for the job - unbelievable!
