I’ve moved in *** *** ***** *** st #D Mount Vernon OH 43050 on March 2018 when I’ve moved in the apartment was not painted and it was left as the way the previous tenant left it for $465 month I had made several request through the years. It did not matter to me because I needed to find a place asap so I’ve accepted to move in. Now that we had new owners, they had done a walk through and knew what needed to be fixed among other things With Every apartment there is wear and tears, And the building is super old. It was built in 1904 Things have not been updated for a very very long time I’ve made complaints for the repairs The new owners raised the rent to $600 The new owners did a walk through And I was informed that there is a lot of repairs that need to be done and it would take some time I understand that it would take time but I figured he would have it down on his list to do but then we decided to move and had turned in the key and was told in an email that my deposit should be in the mail within 30 days So I assume everything was good. But 30 days past and no security deposit. So I’ve sent a reminder and They gave me an invoice instead which I attached I do not think I should get charge for things that the previous and current owners did not fixed And some of the things they are charging for existed when I’ve moved in. One burner only worked on the stove The building is in need of a lot of repairs. Back and front steps are disgusting no one ever cleans Smells moldy and like cigarettes because of the tenant smoking and continue to smoke when I lived there. After being told for years to stop smoking So he started smoking in the bathroom because there is a vent. My mom has chronic bronchitis I’ve always paid my rent on time and never late I think this is unfair how they can get away with things Don’t have the time and money to take them to civil court They should not be able to have someone pay for some else’s mistake Thank you for consideration
