In August, I purchased from your dealership a 2010 Dodge Dakota, VIN #***************** with 52,000 miles on it. In the 4 months of ownership and about 2500 miles driven, I have been unable to drive the vehicle for nearly 5 weeks and I have been forced to make several repairs: -Change the engine oil and filter because it was black appearing like it has never been changes -Replace the vehicle batter - replaced by JR Truck -Replace the vehicle's battery cables -The transmission failed in November costing me $4600 to repair and not being able to drive the vehicle for 3 weeks -The water pump failed on 12/19/22 and had to be replaced costing $160.00 in parts. -Brake pads are rotors currently need replaced which will be another $140.00 just for parts. Having paid a premium for what was advertised as a reliable low mileage truck, I have now been forced to spend nearly $5000 just to keep it drivable. When customers walk through your door and pay good money, a premium far above the normal value, they expect to receive what was advertised; a reliable vehicle. This brings into question your ability to evaluate quality vehicles or more so, your advertising tactics. You either knew the vehicle was in need of significant repair and simply chose not to disclose it or you should have known. Your reputation as an auto dealer greatly depends upon trust... The end result is an extreme financial hardship and being unable to do my job without reliable transportation. Given all of the necessary repairs, I am demanding that you help defray the involved costs. I do not believe this is unreasonable given the short time I have owned and driven the vehicle.
