I hired ***** at the end of November 2023 to replace the cloth and bumpers on my pool table. I was not happy with the final product due to the edges of the bumpers in the pocket not being straight and cut ends of cloth exposed. I emailed him to come back and fix it. He replied to me on 12/5 saying he has been busy that’s why he didn’t get back to me and that he would be back the week after Christmas to look at the table. The week after Christmas came and went and I could not get ahold of ***** so I left him a negative review on google the first week of January which he replied to saying the holiday season delayed resolution and he would be reaching out to me. It is now February 21st and I have not heard from him, he will not answer my calls or emails. I payed him via check (which he asked to be made out to him and not his company) so I cannot charge back like I could if I used credit card.Business response

Our work was performed satisfactory. The customer signed a receipt stating he was satisfied. The issue he is complaining about was preexisting. ****** mother is actually who originally hired us to perform the work. We asked her if she would like to also replace the facings in the pockets and she declined the extra service. Originally **** left a 5 star review and was extremely happy and excited. Then a few weeks later he was all of a sudden unhappy with our work. This pool table is over 20 years old and already had the issue that we are being blamed for not fixing. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint I* ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.It was not “a few weeks” between when they did the work and when I emailed him about my concerns. He was here on 11/21/23 and my first email to him listing my concerns was on 11/28/23. That was the first opportunity I had to play on the table and that is when I noticed the problems.
My original email to him included the same pictures listed in my complaint. First his reply was that he will be back out. Then it changed to the holiday season has delayed resolution. Now the claim is that the conditions were pre existing.
Part of my issue is the bumpers, which were replaced by Cincinnati billiards services, are not straight and circled in orange in my complaint. Pre existing conditions on a part replaced by the company Does not make sense.
