My mother was taken to the Cremation Society of Toledo on 7/23/2024 for burial services. The family decided to have a formal funeral for my mother at the House of Day funeral home. I asked for the money that I paid in the amount of $2100.00 to be refunded to me to be placed on the account for the funeral service. The Cremation Society never told me that they would be keeping $600 for less than a week, calling it a storage fees. Not only that the Cremation Society informed me that they didn't not know when they would be able to refund the remainder of the money. We may not be able to have the funeral because they are delaying the refund to me. Also, the charge for the $600 storage was not on the agreement that I signed, but previously told my aunt that they would only charge transportation. PLEASE HELP US!Business response
