01/25/2022 - Med1Care has denied healthcare services to my son *********** based on the circumstances surrounding previous home health care with a few of their home health aides. **** had numerous issues during his previous care provided by Med1Care, as one of his aides stole medicine from his apartment. Many of his aides did not show up for their shift, leaving my quadriplegic son very compromised and neglected for many hours. A few of his aides complained about **** being argumentative and assertive, when they were late or absent from theirs shifts. One of his aides,*********, drove **** to a bar and consumed alcohol with him and lied about it to the company, allegedly writing a statement to her employer about ****'s drinking habits. The care supplied was sketchy and substandard, and they retaliated against **** when he filed complaints to the State of Ohio department of Medicaid. Now, **** has a home health aide he has recruited and has asked Med1Care to hire so he can continue to receive his state-funded home care, and they are refusing to work with him and his case manager. Their actions are discriminatory and displaying retaliation for previous State of Ohio filings. The statements they claim to have from their home care aides that were assigned to ****'s care are fraudulent and biased. He is confined to a wheelchair, compromised, and needs healthcare services.Business response
