I moved out of my apartment 6-8-22 turned the key into at drop box and tried to call the next morning to see if they received it. Nobody ever answered the phone. I called again the next day and the lady physically took the phone off the hook cause I kept calling to get the number for matainace off the voicemail she disconnected the phone on purpose. And i had to go out there and see why she took the phone off the hook. Ive been emailing calling these people since 6-9 today I get a email from **** it was rude no greeting they treat you like trash cause you live in low income. So she stated to me via email that I would be receiving refund and needed a forwarding address. I asked how much was it for cause I should be getting at least $700 cause it was normal wear and tear in my apartment. She said $103 I asked why was it only that amount she said id have to call collections. Just like I told her I'm not sure what collections has to do with me its like they tell you anything and treat you anyway. She finally gave me ******** number and I called ****** with questions about the low prorated rent amount they were trying to make me take. First she told me they needed a address and I could see it then i told her she wasn't getting a address until i got a least a verbal breakdown of why I'm only receiving $103. At this point she was ready to acknowledge my request she said I was being charged $135 for dry wall, $117 for damage to the refrigerator and $335 for paint. But wait i stayed there over 10 years and they never were concerned about painting until I moved. They do inspections on a regular basis and never attempted or improved nothing about that apartment when I was a tenant no they trying to keep my money cause I've been going back and forth with everybody at Owners management. Ive reached out to several people and they wont respond to me. I just want my money back and these false allegations of me damaging their property to cease.Business response

We sent her a refund of $103.75 plus another check $117.33. As of July 22nd she has not cashed them. The check for 117.33 was issued because we took off the damage to fridge. The original deposit was 184 and we added 22.08 in interest.

I am rejecting this response because: I have not received the money owed to me totaling $669. They refrigerator was in need of repair that is why it was removed this should have been addressed before a check was even issued making them liable to refund me my $669. I’ve asked for pictures of the damage still awaiting those photos as of July 25, 2022. This matter will be resolved when they relinquish the money owed to me. At the current time, I should get double the amount because they are in breach and are holding my money out of spite. I was a tenant over 10 years and they are saying they had to apply two coats of paint..not my problem when it was neglected for my entire stay. There are no pictures because there was no damage. My mail was also opened by a staff member which is also illegal.
