I had a gravel driveway replaced by Ben C****** from C****** Utility on July 28th, 2022. With concrete. The job was quoted for $7400 which was to install the driveway with drain installed, cut away existing garage apron, wire mesh, drain gravel, equipment and labor. C****** Subbed out his work to *** ***** to do the work. Unfortunately I the drain was never installed and now I'm having water come in my basement and garage on multiple occasions. Contacted Mr. C****** on March 1st with pictures and a phone call. He stated "we will get it fixed, whatever it takes"! Ben stated he would get *** ***** to come look at the problem. He never showed up. Contacted Ben April 14th 2023,still no contact from Mr. M**** April 26th Mr. M**** called to say he would come over and look and set something up. No call, no show. Called Mr. C****** May 1st, he stated he was going on vacation and would contact me when he got back. Didn't hear anything so contacted him June 6th , text Ben to see where we were at and he gave me Mr. M****'s number to contact directly. Called/text Mr. M**** with no response. June 15th, Called Mr. C****** to tell him it has been a reasonable amount of time, I would have to consult with an attorney to see what options I had due to no drain installed, no gravel used and invoiced for the same amount as the quote with not all the work nor materials used to complete the job. June 15th Mr. C****** sent a long text, advising me that he can't afford to install a drain, nor can he get Mr. *** ***** to stop to get this project fixed. Mr. C****** advised me that his attorney was *** **** and I should think about that. And here we are, water still coming in my garage and basement. The concrete does not meet the standards as far as being poured 4 inches, no drains we installed,no gravel was put in due to it already being gravel and still charged. I'd like a refund on this project due to estimates coming in between $10 to $12 k to fix it. Thank you.Initial Complaint

I hired Conaway to pour a 1500 sqft concrete patio that was suppose to be 4" thick with rebar. It was only poured 2" thick with no rebar re-enforcement. There are several low spots that holds water and not the concrete is discolored. I talked to Conaway several times and he even had 2 separate concrete contractors look at it and both told him it was a bad install and needed to be fixed. Conaway doesn't pour his own concrete. Conaway now will not return calls and refuses to do anything about it. We paid him approximately 8000.00 and we now have to pay another contractor 15,000.00 to remove and replace the concrete.Business response

We are in receipt of you notice. We are not members of BBB.
We have reviewed Mr. *******’s statement. We strongly disagree with the facts as presented. Further, they do not reveal work that Mr. ******* did subsequent to our work at the site which caused damage. Mr. ******* has made a number of disparaging and untrue posts against the company on various social media sites in the past few weeks. We are presently exploring our options in relation to those comments.
