We hired ARA Home Remodeling on Friday March 3rd, 2023, under written contract, to perform a complete renovation of our en-suite bathroom. After completion, we noticed many items of detail that did not meet the standards of quality promoted by ARA Home Remodeling as a BBB accredited member, and an HBA Certified Remodeler, including one item that entirely prevented us from using the shower and one item that prevented us from using one of the two lavatory faucets. The business owner, ******************************* visited us two days later and we began to point out the items one-by-one (there were about 15 items), and on item 4 or 5, he made the comment, Oh now youre just nitpicking. On Tuesday June 20th, 2023, we sent to ARA Home Remodeling a letter with an itemized list of photos detailing all items of quality and functionality from the job. The letter lists 11 items we would prefer to have fixed by ARA Home Remodeling. On Thursday June 29th, 2023, we received a package from ******************************* that contained various items for the repairs, and a letter from him to us. The letter strikes a retaliatory tone with statements such as, but as we discussed these are little things that could have been resolved by you, especially considering ALL the extras we did for you, I have provided you everything you need to complete the minor repairs , and As you can clearly see you're on the winning side of this.. charges I/We still could pursue if we wanted to. Lets just end it here and both move on. The letter and box of materials we received from ******************************* make it clear that ARA Home Remodeling does not intend to correct the items detailed in our letter from June 20th and that ARA Home Remodeling expects us to do the work. It is unprofessional and inconsistent with construction and remodeling standards to provide the materials to a customer for the purpose of having the customer solve items of quality and functionality.Photos and correspondence available.
