      We received a letter stating new lease price at the end of March 2024 of 1,070.It stated it was our 60 day reminder to renew, go month to month, or move. We called to discuss the lease and they said there would be additional charges for trash and parking, price now 1,116. Called May 17th 2024 to clarify and gave my consent but my fiance did not. we have been calling non stop since the first week of June 2024 and they give excuses why we cant sit down to discuss and sign the new lease. They claimed that only my verbal consent was needed which is not true. By law both parties on the lease must consent otherwise it is canceled out and we can move or go month to month as desired.We also sent out a letter in June 2024 stating we would be going month to month they said they never received the letter.They still have not given us the lease paperwork and refuse to do so. Now that it is the last week of our current lease August 2024, they are stating that what we are saying is not true. The apartment manager even laughed on the phone as my fiance was explaining to her our issue. We have contacted an attorney but she has not gotten back to me yet. We have also had issues with them refusing to replace our front door to our apartment itself, the door was kicked in previously and clearly had damage. the door does not shut properly and we have had maintenence there multiple times to replace the door handle as it pops off all the time. they then too started ignoring our requests and phone calls. Our shower head pulls from the wall which they plastered instead of fixing and it has popped back out the wall. They claim to have a dog size of 45lbs but other tenants have dogs over 100lbs told us we could not have a dog over 45 lbs but allow this. They painted all doors and closets with paint so if paint is chipped or scratched it deducts from our deposit. The apartment managers name is Liz and she has a bad attitude and does not handle things professionally and laughs when we have facts

      I was helping my daughter and boyfriend move out of their apartment- The Heritage of White Pond located on Copley Road. As I drove the U-Haul in the drive, I drove under the cement awning. Not realizing the height of the truck, I scraped the cement awning. I am covered by insurance. I have submitted the claim with my insurance company. What the adjuster needs is an estimate with an itemized priced list. The only thing that AIY Properties has sent is a list ie: "cement "... on their letter head with the total of $3800. This is not acceptable to the adjuster. I have told them, as well as my insurance company . We need the itemized estimate from the company that will be fixing the awning. Now, AIY Properties are threatening my daughter and her boyfriend stating that they owe the $. They had nothing to do with my accident!! They are threatening to turn them over to collections which will in turn damage their credit. My complaint is that they need to submit a proper estimate with itemized costs to my insurance company AND will leave my daughter and her boyfriend alone. This is harassment to a party that was not involved. As well as not being cooperative.

      Property Manager Dodi was very rude and disrespectful and extremely unprofessional when having a conversation with her about overcharging me for rent and charging my mother for fees for renters insurance at my Mothers apartment which they claim they did not receive, then they said they received it and there was no insurance company listed (which there was), then it was well it didn't get uploaded until after the due date. My Mother paid this in advance. I spoke to our insurance company and they have proof of when they e-mailed it and to whom they e-mailed it to. My Mother and I have been tenants her for many years and have never been treated with so much disrespect, inconsideration, rudeness and unprofessionalism in my life! We always pay our rent on time too! And she basically said, "If I didn't like it, I can move out." My ceilings have cracks in them, I went without heat for 2 years, my carpet has NEVER been replaced, toilets run off and on all day and night, holes in the patio screen door, cracks in the front side walk, TREE BRANCHES GROWING INTO MY FRONT DOOR!!       Tried to inquire about renting an apartment at their ******* Apartments complex in *********, OH. They told me my 27lb dog was over the 25lb weight limit and they could not rent to me. As of today on 5/7/24, the web page for that specific complex states the weight limit is 30 lbs. I called back and let them know and they said in the lease it’s 25 lbs and the information on the website is not always accurate, which it SHOULD be! Imagine being a person paying expensive application fees just to discover when you want to sign the rental paperwork that you animal is all of a sudden not acceptable because of a 5 lb weight difference!

      Phone complaint taken by BBB Staff JS: Consumer received a letter that her rent was increasing. Consumer gets assistance with her rent and when she contacted the agency that assists with her rent she was told they can't adjust her assistance because she owes $400.

      My son and I have had to leave our residence fit to the the mold and sewage that has accumulated since July of 2023. Just living there has caused my son and I to become ill since July. We suffer headaches, vertigo, physically sick (throwing up), and having muscular problems.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference ,the basement has not been sanitized while mold and possible lead exposure is suspected. I am suffering from daily headaches and feeling very tired with muscle aches. My son is also feeling tired and having head aches. We have been suffering from these side effects since July of 2023 and didn't understand why. I will soon place my rent in escrow and seek compensation for my son and myself for having to endure these living conditions. I have gone to management to ask for them to relocate us or cancel the lease to another apartment but local management refused.

      Nothing has been done to correct this issue in over 8 months, I have also lost 95 % of important pictures and other irreplaceable articles destroyed in the sewage which destroyed pictures and important papers lost due to the sewage flooding the whole basement .

      On 11/02/2023 I never received a receipt for my move-in payment of $613.00. Now, they overcharged me for December 2023 by $128.00. They haven't replaced or fixed the stove or the dining room light. It took 12 days to fix the heat problem. It was 62-64 degrees in my apartment overnight. I am very unhappy about the management.

      Current Issues with AIY: - Fraudulently added that I was in a lease with them for $800/month A. I have never been in a lease with AIY B. When AIY bought the building I was living in, I was going month to month under my old lease. C. The month to month payment I agreed to and paid was $750/month. - AIY tried and failed to evict me AFTER I had already moved out using the terms of that fraudulent lease - It was thrown out in court - After realizing they could not evict me they placed on my credit report that was was late multiple months and underpaid multiple months - Under a lease I never received and never signed. - When I moved into my apartment in 2019, it was clean but it was old and needed major improvements, hence the reason I was paying $650 at the time of my original and ONLY lease with NM Residential , when everyone around me was paying over 1K /month. -AIY is trying to now charge me $1600 dollars to make capital imporvements they should have made on their own. - They also presented me with an unsigned and altered copy of the check in list, explaining everything that was already wrong in the apartment from when I moved in in 2019. My copy was signed and they couldnt find it so they made one up.

      Apartment flooded and they made us stay in that apartment for 8 months before deciding to move us into another apartment that has mold nothing is getting done about it I called and they never come out and fix it
