Where to begin. We should of done our research about this place when we signed up to become “members”. Paid $1400 up front to get started and then was making the $220 ish payments monthly via automatic withdrawal from our checking account. Then we had a series of unfortunate events (unexpected expenses for my mothers funeral, a vehicle being totaled out by someone running a stop sign and both my wife and myself losing our jobs because of covid). We reached out to millbrook about these circumstances and we asked about surrendering our membership due to hardship. Fast forward a few weeks/months later of still struggling to pay for our “membership” and finally someone in the millbrook office says to email “jack”. Jack say call Becky Between 9-5. Called and they said they wouldn’t let us cancel our membership but would waive our annual maintenance fee for the year. She also said they would stop payments for 6 month for us, which they did do. What they failed to to is start taking out the AUTOMATIC payments again after the 6 months. Obviously we didn’t catch it because we were still trying to catch up on other bills. They never started payments nor did they every try and contact us. Instead they sent it to collections for approximately $3000 more than we owed on it and is now taking us to court over it. BUYER BEWARE OF THIS FAMILY FRIENDLY ESTABLISHMENT. P.S. they also claim that they will help you sell it to someone else. They dont really help though. Just look at all the similar bad reviews about this place. I also emailed “jack back in September 2021 when I got the collection call and to this day I still haven’t heard back from him, no surprise there though.
