I rented with this company for a semester and the entire time the company was completely unprofessional. There were problems such as work orders never getting fixed and never being able to contact them by phone during office hours. We had a 6month lease but were hoping to extend that to a 12 month and brought that up to them the day we signed the papers. They continually said we probably could but they will let us know soon. with 1 month of our lease ending, they denied us the option to renew our lease leaving us barely any time to find another apartment. When we moved in the place was so extremely dirty. I cleaned the entire place top to bottom. The curtains were full of dust, touching the windows left your hands black, the vents had clearly not been swept out in several years, there were stains all over the carpet. we rented a carpet cleaner and bought paint to fix some wall stains. when moving out they claimed it was above normal wear and tear and charged us for cleaning unfairly.Business response

during their tenancy, only ONE service order request was made, for 3 issues: bathroom sink hot water, furnace making a "knocking" noise every 20 mins or so, and kitchen sink slow drain. the hot water valve was adjusted, kitchen sink drain cleared, and the furnace sound was normal for the cycling on of the blower. all repaired less than 4 business days later.
as far as the cleaning charges, the apartment had been vacant for nearly 6 months before the last cleaning, so i understand the dusty curtains and windows. i will refund the $57 we charged for cleaning.
the only other maintenance issue was the tub drain pop-up. they acknowledged the pop-up was broken but never reported it to us. it is impossible to repair issues of which we were never made aware, as we do not live in the apartments.
the claim of "never being able to contact them by phone" is odd, since our receptionist remembers clearly speaking with you on numerous occasions regarding the end of your lease. if there were times we were not available it would be due to us having multiple phone lines and only one receptionist. all phone lines have voicemail, so if a message was not left we could not have known we were called.
