Fun bus advertised a trip taking people to Northwest Ohio to view the eclipse. We left early at 6:30 AM so it was still cool outside. We viewed the eclipse at the fairgrounds in Wapakoneta and then headed home at 4:00. At that point it was 75 outside and the bus was extremely warm inside. Once all of us loaded on the bus (about 100 people) with no windows that opened, the air conditioning didn’t work well and little air was coming out of the vents, I felt like I was going to pass out. We were located in the back of the bus since that was the only open seats when the bus got to our stop. We were on the bus an hour and a half, and I had to take the remaining ice out of our cooler and rub it on my arms and neck to avoid passing out. Once we got to the restaurant, another woman 25 years younger than me who is seated at the very back of the bus said she almost passed out too. I informed both staff members on the bus with no improvement. We had dinner but didn’t have much of an appetite. When we got back on the bus, it was even hotter because the sun had been beating on the front of it. My significant other said he thought he was going to throw up and I had to continue trying to cool myself to prevent fainting with the remaining cold water bottles that was in our cooler. I also felt like I was going to vomit. When we got off at our stop, the couple that was seated across from us, said how hot it was, and that she almost got ill on the bus too. I called Fun Bus with my concerns both that evening and the next morning. Staff said they would inform Management but I did not get a return call. I request $200 to be refunded to me. The remaining $80 would cover the box lunches, admission to the museum and the buffet. I also want the bus to be fixed so no one else has to go through the misery that we went through. Thank you.
