On 12/29/2022 M/AC services received $20,000 as a deposit for an interior remodeling job, as of today 12/6/2023 the company has received a total of $66,000 in payments on a $79,900 estimate with at least 5 or more missed completion dates with roughly only 30-40% of the job being completed to date with the work that has been done(windows, plumbing, hvac, drywall, electric)either incomplete or done incorrectly and needing redone or repaired, we have lots of documentation to back up this claim as well as very insulting and inappropriate texts from the contractor, we are demanding a refund of $35,000 to re hire a new contractor to complete the job.

      Business response

      12/27/2023

MAC HAS TRIED MULTIPLE TIMES TO REMEDY THE PROJECT AND GET TO AN AGREEMENT TO FINISH BUT THE OWNER IS UNWILLING AND COMBATIVE ON ANY RESOLUTION. AS YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SEE IN THE TIMELINE AND DOCUMENTS PROVIDED.

      Customer response

      01/02/2024

At this time we respectfully reject the response from M/AC Services, as the refund has not been issued and the job is still not complete with an astonishing amount of work left to be completed after 6 deadlines were given for over the past year. We have included all conversations between ourselves and M/AC Services, and not just hand selected a few like M/AC Services, so the big picture can been seen (you will also note the hostile comments that were sent via text by Tonya and Josh causing emotional and mental distress to us).  We have also included a demand letter that was sent on 12/8/2023. Screenshots of all conversations can be provided upon request, as the attached conversations and communication was transcribed directly from context.  Upon reading the context you will find that not even half of the work was completed and rough-in (which was stated was completely done in their documents where they stated the house is ready for finish, which isn’t) will have to be re-done on the plumbing side including adding a Hot Water Tank and HVAC needs completely finished with all fixtures and electrical installed.  The drywall was started but also only about 30-35% completed and some needs to be redone as M/AC Services failed to install HVAC prior to the cold temperatures which caused cracking of already completed work.  All of the flooring in the house has not been touched and looks even worse since their sub-contracted drywaller did not cover any of our wood floors, which will now have to have even more work performed to them. We have currently paid $66,000 of a $79,000 job which is 83% of the total job.  You will also see in the context that a breakdown of labor and material was asked for and Josh provided a quick estimate and promised a more complete breakdown but never did.  You will also see that Josh also still owes his subcontractor for our drywall $7,500 for the work that he did perform. You will find more details listed in the context provided.  Again we respectfully reject the response from M/AC Services and want a refund the $35,000 so we can all more on and forward from this nightmare they created as we are now scrambling to find a home for us to live in temporarily as we were supposed to be in our house many months ago and supposed to give up possession of our current resident.
