According to a press release issued by the Ohio Attorney General's office on 9/30/2016 http://www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov/Media/News-Releases/September-2016/Two-Ohio-Cemeteries-Accused-of-Failing-to-Deliver Theodore L. Martin Jr. and Arminda Martin were operators and owners of Fairview Memorial Park located at 5035 Columbus Pike in Lewis Center, and Grandview Memorial Park located at 5400 Lakewood Road in Ravenna, and were charged with failing to deliver headstones a, vaults, and memorial items sold to consumers, in a civil lawsuit filed in Portage County Ohio Common Pleas Court http://www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov/Files/Briefing-Room/News-Releases/Consumer-Protection/2016-9-30-Fairview-Memorial-Grandview-Memorial-Par.aspx . According to the Attorney General’s office, estimated consumer losses at the time the lawsuit was filed totaled about $36,000 based on 26 unresolved complaints, and the state is seeking restitution for consumers, and an end to any violations of the Consumer Sales Practices Act, and civil penalties. Additionally, the Ohio Attorney General's Office reported that Theodore L. Martin Jr. and Arminda Martin also had been charged criminally in Portage County in separate cases involving related activity.
